(( For the next contract I propose (with the permission of psnz ) Create a medium symmetric crossword containing at least 10 words with at least two "c's" in each of those words. )) No problem with me. Of course I would also stipulate no two letter words, Roman Numbers or IATA codes. Does this mean that I can now both propose a contract here and later claim it? Reply #526. Jul 17 21, 12:47 PM |

So, to explain #152: "Write a quiz in which every question contains the name of a philanthropic organisation that works only with humans. All the organisations should belong to or have started in the same country. The names should not appear as is and can be used in any order in the question. Every word in the official names should be used. No abbreviations should be used." It really appeared that the contract was going to be one of those ones that wasn't going to move or, at the worst, create something a bit janky. I wasn't really into the idea of working 'foundation' and 'organization' into the majority of questions, so I went on technicalities. - "every question contains the name of a philanthropic organisation that works only with humans" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Way I know that there's also a United Way Worldwide. That oversees this. - "All the organisations should belong to or have started in the same country." It started in Denver. There's also nothing in the contract indication that each question needs a different organization name. New contract: Write a quiz for the FunTrivia Book Club. Reply #527. Jul 17 21, 2:51 PM |

I recently discussed Contract #186 with a FunTrivia member. The conclusion of our discussion was that I will be pretty open-minded in what I accept as the "chapters"of a book as long as you can provide some justification for your choices. Reply #533. Aug 02 21, 8:25 PM |

1nn1, I have a question about your as not yet number contract: To replace this challenge, write a quiz about a movie and a book where one is based on the other. The quiz questions must highlight the differences between the the two media (James Bond and Star Wars topics and titles are excluded). I was wondering in which category it would be placed. A quick look at the Literature and Movies subcategories didn't pull one that would seem to fit with comparing different versions of the same story. By comparison, in both Literature and Movies, it seemed easier to find subcategories for comparing different works of literature or different movies. I thought maybe that it would fit in Entertainment since I've used that before when comparing a character in movies, video games, television, etc. I didn't quite see the right fit there for your contract. Kankurette, for Contract #208, the only Zodiac sign that I think might not be addressed is Sagittarius. Would that sign fit under centaurs, humans, horses, archers/archery, or something else? Reply #538. Aug 07 21, 6:03 PM |

Re: 207 my thought is that the only possibility is Entertainment. These types of quizzes, sadly, are often buried in sections that are a little bit harder for people to sift through (like TV & Movies Mixture). There are a few that *might* go into Entertainment By Themes. The only other option would likely be Entertainment Grab Bag. Reply #539. Aug 07 21, 6:17 PM |

Bernie, whenever there is a quiz which includes at least two media, (such as movies and novels), Entertainment is the logical for it to be placed. Many a James Bond book/movie combo question/quiz of mine has landed there. (and one of the reasons James Bond was excluded in the contract). Reply #540. Aug 07 21, 6:29 PM |
