I gather that if we already have a crossword in the pipeline, we cannot submit one for the contracts, but will have to wait till the earlier one goes online? Reply #464. Jun 01 21, 1:31 AM |

That is correct, but the wait shouldn't be too long. Reply #465. Jun 01 21, 6:51 AM |

The crossword queue is not usually too long, but if time were a factor, you could always pull one crossword out of the queue and replace it with another (with a heads up to the editor if the editor had already edited it). Reply #466. Jun 01 21, 7:57 AM |

We prefer that you not do that, actually, if the first one has already been edited. Reply #467. Jun 01 21, 7:58 AM |

What should I do then? I don't know which editor, if any has picked it up. I submitted on the afternoon / evening of 29th FT time. Reply #468. Jun 01 21, 4:32 PM |

Last time I looked (this morning) yours was second from the top of the queue. It had been fourth when I first posted, after which I had time to deal with a couple. If you wait, I'm likely to get to it within the next hour. If you switch it out for your other puzzle, that one will go to the bottom of the queue. Reply #469. Jun 01 21, 5:09 PM |

Thanks for that, Liz. I really appreciate the heads up, and getting my previous CW online. My contract effort has now been submitted. That also lets me ask for another Scattegories CW. Reply #470. Jun 01 21, 6:35 PM |

Hi everyone. I'd like some advice, please. I'm presently working on a CW for the Scattergories thread. That CW would also fulfil one of the contracts here. Would it be acceptable to use this piece of work accordingly, or is double-dipping frowned upon? Reply #472. Jun 02 21, 7:26 PM |

Damn, Leith! I've been outfumbled! Anyway, I guess if mine gets through the editors it will help to expand the Science category. Reply #473. Jun 02 21, 9:58 PM |

Re: "Would it be acceptable to use this piece of work accordingly, or is double-dipping frowned upon?" Double-dipping is fine unless the challenge instructions say otherwise. Reply #475. Jun 03 21, 10:27 AM |
