Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. On the TV series "Friends", which of these was the girl that Ross was seen having an on again, off again love affair that resulted in a baby girl?

Answer: Rachel

Rachel and Ross had a one night stand in season seven, which resulted in the pregnancy. Rachel found out she was pregnant when Chandler and Monica got married, as did Phoebe. Only, Phoebe thought it was Monica at first. It was not until the following season that everyone knew it was Rachel.

She gave birth to her daughter Emma, in season eight's "The One Where Rachel Has A Baby, Part 2", airing May 2002.
2. On the series "Green Acres", to whom was Oliver Douglas married?

Answer: Lisa

Oliver and Lisa were definitely not the normal farm family. Oliver was played by Eddie Albert and Lisa by Eva Gabor. The series ran from 1965-1971.
3. Who was JR's wife on the TV show "Dallas"?

Answer: Sue Ellen

During their marriage, JR and Sue Ellen had a son they named John Ross Ewing III. The original series ran from 1978-1991, and spawned several TV movies afterward. The show was rebooted in 2012 on the TNT cable network, with many of the original characters and some of the same actors. That series was such a hit, it received an order for a second season after just two episodes had aired.

In both series, Linda Gray played Sue Ellen and Larry Hagman played JR. In the newer series, Josh Henderson played John Ross, Jesse Metcalf played Christopher, Patrick Duffy reprised his role as Bobby, and Brenda Strong played his wife Ann Ewing.
4. Who was Miss Kitty's favorite guy on the western "Gunsmoke"?

Answer: Matt Dillon

Matt was played by James Arness, Kitty by Amanda Blake, Festus by Ken Curtis, Doc by Milburn Stone, and Sam by Glen Strange. "Gunsmoke" ran for twenty seasons, through 1975, though Miss Kitty did return for the final season.
5. Which of these ladies did Sam Malone have a relationship with during her stint on "Cheers"?

Answer: Rebecca Howe

Sam and Rebecca had a crazy relationship, as friends and lovers, during her time on the show. Prior to that time, Sam had a similar relationship with Diane Chambers. Kirstie Alley played Rebecca, Shelley Long played Diane, and Ted Danson played Sam. The series ran for eleven seasons and spun-off the short lived "The Tortellis" and "Frasier". "Frasier" also ran for eleven seasons.
6. On the show "I Love Lucy", to whom was Lucy married?

Answer: Ricky

Lucy (Lucille Ball) was always getting herself into trouble. Often times, her husband Ricky (real life hubby at the time, Desi Arnaz) had to bail her out of it. The series had six seasons, from 1951-1957. Lucy and Desi divorced in 1960.
7. Who was the husband of Marion Cunningham on the series "Happy Days"?

Answer: Howard

When the show debuted in 1974 (I was one year old), Marion and Howard had three children, Chuck, Richie and Joanie. Chuck quickly vanished without a trace, never to be mentioned again. Marion was played by Marion Ross, Howard by Tom Bosley, Richie by Ron Howard, Joanie by Erin Moran, and Fonzie by Henry Winkler. Ron Howard went to become a highly successful movie writer/producer/director after having been a child TV star, and an adult TV star. Tom Bosley passed away in October 2010 at age 83. "Happy Days" aired new shows until 1984.
8. Who was Samantha married to on "Bewitched"?

Answer: Darrin

There were two actors that played opposite Elizabeth Montgomery's Samantha. Dick York played him from 1964-69 and Dick Sargent from 1969-1972. York passed away in 1992 and Sargent in 1994.
9. Who was Laura's husband on "The Dick Van Dyke Show?"

Answer: Rob

Dick played Rob Petrie and Mary Tyler Moore played Laura. This series lasted from 1961-66 in its original run.
10. On "All in the Family", Carroll O'Connor's Archie Bunker was married to this woman, whom he often told to "stifle" herself.

Answer: Edith

This series was shocking in the time in which it originally aired. Archie Bunker was a very ignorant type of bigot, who seemed not to hold much real hatred for what he didn't understand. And while Edith often deferred to his over bearing dominance, when it came down to what was right, she stood her ground and told him to "stifle" himself.

The showed aired for nine seasons (1971-1979) and spun-off its own sitcom ("Archie Bunker's Place") as well as "The Jeffersons" and "Maude". O'Connor died in 2001 and Jean Stapleton (Edith) was alive as of 2012.
