The movie, "Schindler's List" (1993), is the true story of Oskar Schindler (1908-1974), portrayed by Liam Neeson. Schindler, a German businessman and a member of the Nazi party, saved over 1,000 Jewish people from the gas chambers during World War II. The movie was nominated for 12 Academy Awards and won 7, as well as numerous other awards. Another tagline for the movie was "The list Is life".

Answer: Red Dawn

"Red Dawn" told the 'what-if?' story of a Soviet invasion of America--and, yes, the Russians occupied American soil. A band of young guerrila warriors in Calumet, Colorado (including Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey, Charlie Sheen and C. Thomas Howell) took the fight to the invaders in a bloody struggle to drive them out of the Land of the Free. Wolverines!

Answer: The American President

The 'most powerful man in the world' referred to the President of the United States (Michael Douglas), and what he wanted most was lobbyist Sydney Ellen Wade (Annette Bening), who was trying to get his support on a climate change initiative. The movie presented Douglas with several dilemmas, including the struggle between doing what you wanted and doing what was politically necessary--and in the movie his public didn't like the President's relationship with a lobbyist, nor her anti-pollution bill. What was a poor president to do?

Answer: Superman: The Movie

At the time, "Superman" had amazing special effects, utilizing blue-screen and other modern technologies alongside amazingly realistic models (the Golden Gate Bridge replica was 70 feet long and 20 feet wide), and the flying scenes were unlike anything audiences had ever seen: actor Christopher Reeve did much of his own wirework for the film, which was fairly risky in the days before computers controlled the wire riggings.

Answer: A Fish Called Wanda

"A Fish Called Wanda" is the story of a team of crooks trying to find out where their leader stashed the loot from a heist before he got caught and imprisoned. Jamie Lee Curtis's character (Wanda--she and a pet fish share the name) attempts to seduce the barrister (John Cleese) in charge of her boss's defense, but her lover (Kevin Kline) makes this plan difficult due to his jealousy and propensity to show up at the worst possible time, romantically.

The movie was released in July of '88, but it took two full months for it to hit #1 at the box office. The four main actors (Cleese, Palin, Kline and Curtis) reunited for 1997's "Fierce Creatures", though it was not a sequel to "Wanda", nor did the actors play the same roles in the two movies.

"Let the magic begin" refers to the fact it's the first film about Harry Potter. It's Harry's first year at a magical school called Hogwarts. He is an orphaned eleven year old who gets plugged into a world he didn't know about. He slowly learns how to use his magic by attending school lessons. At first he feels like he will not be any good, but he is far from that. He begins to make friends and enemies. Then slowly he starts to fit into a world that he didn't know about. At the end of the year he has to defeat Lord Voldermort, the most evil wizard ever. In later movies he learns that he is the only one who can stop Lord Voldermort. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Richard Harris, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. It is the first movie of eight.

Answer: Pleasantville

"Pleasantville" (1998) stars Reese Witherspoon and Tobey Maguire. It is about twin siblings, (Witherspoon and Maguire) being pulled into a 50s sitcom and trying to find their way out through the perfect citizens and squeaky-clean rules. The tagline refers to the purity and simplicity of the black and white clean version of the show and how simple life is in Pleasantville.

Answer: Big Momma's House

"Big Momma's House" stars Martin Lawrence, who plays an FBI agent trying to catch an escaped convict. Lawrence's character dresses up as Big Momma to get close to a woman suspected of being involved with a robbery, and, of course, falls in love with her. The tagline refers to Lawrence concealing his true identity...and gender.

Answer: Back to the Future

"Back to the Future" tells the story of young Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), who travels back in time, in a time machine, invented by his very eccentric best friend, Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd). Whilst in the year 1955, Marty accidentally stops his parents from meeting. Unless he can quickly get his mum to meet, and fall in love with his hopeless father, Marty won't be born, 13 years later. Marty enlists the help of the Dr. Brown of 30 years earlier. The tag line explains how Marty has turned up at his home, only he has turned up 30 years earlier, which is 13 years before his birth.

'Scream' is a scary movie directed by Wes Craven. The killer/s in 'Scream' love scary movies and have decided to make a real life scary movie of their own, by killing all their friends.
Drew Barrymore never met Roger Jackson (the phone voice) while they were shooting the movie, so the only time they interacted was on screen.

"Awesome movie" is the only way to describe this one. The sequel sucked big time though. The movie revolves around the doings of a secret society known as the Skulls.
