Answer: She was diagnosed with cancer.

After they team up and fall in love again, Jane Foster tells Thor that she was diagnosed with stage four cancer six months prior and the diagnosis is not good. Jane is a doctor and has tried chemotherapy and to cure herself with her own remedies but none of them improved her health.

Answer: Sakaar

Hela emerges in Asgard to find the Warriors Three guarding the Bifrost and the city and though they immediately take up their weapons, she defeats them handily. Skurge, who kneels before her, is immediately given a job as her servant. It doesn't take long before Hela stands before the people of the city and asks them to kneel as well so that they can lead a conquest to take over all of the realms. They don't, and what follows is a huge battle-- Hela against the army-- in which she emerges victorious and virtually unscathed.
Elsewhere in the cosmos, Thor is dropped on a planet loaded with heaped trash, Sakaar. There, a robotic craft settles before him and the people inside emerge to take him as food. Fortunately, since he can fight, he's instead taken in by Scrapper 142, subdued by foreign tech, and brought in to her boss, a man known only as The Grandmaster, who lords over the planet.

On the other side of the invisible portal, Jane emerges on the edge of a narrow platform and behind her is an obelisk of some unnatural origin. She steps towards it, peering into the light that emanates from within it, and as she does, a dark matter reaches out and flows into her.
As this happens, a space vessel comes to life, re-powering itself and awakening Malekith and his men.
In Asgard, Thor approaches Heimdall to peer upon Jane. They both discuss the odd occurrences in the universe as of late as the Nine Realms near alignment in an event known as the Convergence. While most can't see it, it will cause issues across the realms. There's an issue, however, as Heimdall can't see Jane at all, anywhere in the universe.

Answer: Hulk

Among the options, only Hulk/Bruce Banner, were in this movie. Hulk was played by Mark Ruffalo. Both heroes were exiled to a distant planet where they were forced to fight each other. During a conversation Thor actually referred to Hulk as one of the Avengers. Eventually they escaped together.

Answer: Loki

After Asgard is attacked by the Dark Elves, Odin shuts down the bifrost and keeps the tesseract locked in the vault. This makes it so no one is able to leave the planet. Loki, being the mischievous one he is, found out how to escape Asgard without the need for the tesseract or bifrost. Thor is asking for Loki's help in moving Jane off Asgard.

Jane Foster is a scientist, played by well known actress, Natalie Portman. Natalie Portman was born in Israel and has appeared in many great movies, such as, 'Black Swan' and 'Your Highness'. Her character, Jane Foster, is a quirky individual who desires to know more about the lands beyond planet Earth. Meeting Thor is like a dream come true for Jane!

Answer: Zeus

The first order of business, after running down the list of possible additions to the rescue party, is for Thor and the others to get to Omnipotence City, but with Stormbreaker struggling to transport Thor through the cosmos, it's not so easy. Jane reasons that the weapon just needs a powerful engine to focus its power, and with that, Valkyrie offers up the town's ship. It takes a short bit of packing for the journey and a bit of convincing, but before long they head off on their voyage (with the screaming goats leading the way).

In the Shadow Realm, Gorr comes upon the children in their cage and extinguishes their hope. While Axl attempts to tell stories of Thor's successes, Gorr decapitates a shadow creature, terrifying the children. He reminisces about his own daughter and awaits Thor's arrival. He's counting on it.

Landing in Omnipotence City, Thor, Jane, Valkyrie, and Korg proceed on foot and it's just one more opportunity for Thor and Jane to reconnect. Valkyrie lets Thor know she detects a reemergence of the couple's feelings for one another, but she's definitively Team Jane. The four attempt to keep a low profile by blending in as Emotion Gods, wearing coloured cloaks before they enter the Golden Temple. They take their seats, admiring the gods around them, but before long the King of Gods, Zeus, appears and takes his seat.

Answer: Darcy

Being from Asgard, Thor is able to eat a considerable amount more than any human. As he's eating, he hears of Mjolnir being 50 miles to the west, and initially parts ways with Jane, Darcy, and Erik to go and claim it. When they return to the lab, Jane finds S.H.I.E.L.D taking their research. She goes to Thor to find the answers she is after, since her work was taken. She and Thor go to the site of Mjolnir's landing, and Thor finds out that he cannot lift Mjolnir. He's taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D, and Jane contacts Erik to let him know that they went to the site against his wishes.

Answer: Aether

Jane reawakens in the UK five hours after she vanished. As soon as she is found by Darcy, who called the cops, she's also found by Thor, who travels across the realms to see her again. He explains his absence as they're about to get arrested, but before anything can happen, Jane is pulled aside for trespassing and, against her will, unleashes a devastating blast of energy. To prevent her from hurting herself and others and to prevent her from being taken to jail, Thor brings her back to Asgard with him via the Bifröst.
Jane is brought before Asgard's finest medics but none of them can determine the cause of her infection. It isn't until Odin sees the energy within her first-hand that Jane is able to be helped. Whatever is inside of her predates the universe and was once used by the Dark Elves, and Malekith, to return everything to darkness. If left inside Jane, it would use her life-force and kill her in the process. But there's not a solution; Odin doesn't know how to remove it.

Answer: Loki

When Thor returned to Asgard he stumbled upon a play being put on by Odin (Who was actually Loki in disguise). The actors played Thor (Luke Hemsworth, the brother of the actual actor playing Thor), Loki (Matt Damon, a friend of Tom Hiddleston, the actual actor playing Loki) and Odin (Sam Neill). Damon also played a character named Loki in "Dogma", though the two characters have nothing in common.

Answer: Jane

Jane, who recognizes Loki as the one who invaded Earth, slaps him across the face for what he did. She is surprised to see him and immediately marches to him in rage. After she does so Loki smiles and quips that he likes her.

Answer: Loki

Loki tells this to Odin, who had him believe he was Loki's father. Loki believes himself to be cursed, because his skin turns blue at times, just like a Frost Giant's skin. Odin reveals he took Loki, from the Frost Giants, when he was a baby. He wanted to bring peace and alliance between Asgard and Jotunheim, but Loki thinks he was being used.

Loki is the adoptive brother of Thor in Norse mythology, and a super-villain in the Marvel Comics. Loki is very well trained in magic, and has the ability of teleportation.

Answer: Mjollnir

Thor's hammer has magical abilities and is the source of his godly powers. The idea is taken from the 'Thor' Marvel comic books. Thor's father, Odin, sends the Mjollnir to Earth with Thor but enchants it so that he cannot wield it until he proves himself worthy.

Answer: The town's children

Gorr the God Butcher wields the Necrosword that is capable of killing gods. In addition, the Necrosword can create shadow monsters that assist Gorr in battle. Gorr nearly kills Thor with the Necrosword before Jane is able to save him with the help of the hammer Mjolner. As Gorr escapes New Asgard, he kidnaps the town's children and takes them to the Shadow Realm. The children are really just a means to an end for Gorr as he wants Thor to come after him so he can open a portal to the realm of Eternity.

Answer: Eternity

Once the fanfare dies down and the Holy Council of the Gods comes to order, Thor and the others discuss the possibility of stealing his Thunderbolt and using it to rush the Shadow Realm. Their talking from the bleachers doesn't go unnoticed, however, and soon Thor is called to speak onstage before the Mighty Zeus. He speaks about the God Butcher and his conquest to kill the gods of the universe, but Zeus is unbothered-- he killed some lesser gods, after all. Zeus attempts to send him back to his seat, but Thor's defiance gets him chained to the stage and revealed. Zeus reiterates that Asgardian problems aren't the problems of the other gods; Thor asserts that Zeus is just afraid. That's what gets him talking.

Zeus assures Thor, quietly, that he's not necessarily afraid, but he knows of the power of the Necrosword and does not wish to put himself or the other gods into a place of vulnerability. Besides this, they are safe in Omnipotence City. Thor asks if he can use Thunderbolt to stop Gorr, but Zeus refuses to help with this as well.

Instead, Zeus tells the council room that the God Butcher can never reach Eternity. Valkyrie explains the meaning of this to Jane, suggesting that Eternity is a powerful being who will grant the desire of the first person who reaches it. Gorr doesn't know the location of the Altar of Eternity, but the Gods do. And that's why Thor and the others can no longer leave, else they'll reveal the secret and put them all at risk. Valkyrie puts her plan into action at this go-ahead, and the foursome make moves to fight their way out.

Thor and the others commence battle with Zeus' guards before Zeus fires his Thunderbolt directly through Korg, disintegrating him into pieces. Zeus threatens that Thor will be next, but when he tosses his weapon at the Asgardian, Thor grabs it instead, tossing it back and through the Leader of the Gods. Thor is able to locate Korg's still-living face and pull him from the rubble. As Valkyrie ties him to the back of her head, he whistles for the screaming goats, calling them and their boat into the Council chamber. Valkyrie grabs Thunderbolt before they depart Omnipotence City.

Answer: The Incredible Hulk

Thor is brought to the Contest of Champions and prepared for battle, and it's there that he discovers that Scrapper 142 is from Asgard. In fact, based on her tattoos, he realizes that she was once a Valkyrie. He tries to convince her to help him for the good of Asgard, but he's instead pulled to the arena as part of the Contest's main match. And when he steps into the centre of the battleground, his opponent is introduced as none other than The Incredible Hulk, Dr. David Banner himself, who disappeared after the events in Sokovia when the Avengers faced off against Ultron. Hulk insists on battle, and soon the two Avengers go head-to-head in a dangerous fight that shocks the crowd and the Grandmaster. Thor tries to appeal to his old friend but has to use his powers to ensure he isn't killed. When Thor uses his lightning powers, however, the Grandmaster steps in, sabotaging Thor to put an end to it.
Back in Asgard, Hela makes Skurge her new executioner, much like Odin made her long ago. When the two of them head to the Bifrost to begin their conquest they find that the sword used to control it has been taken. They don't know that the person responsible is none other than Heimdall, who's been absconding with frightened citizens and hiding them outside of the city.

Answer: Heimdall

Malekith, sensing the Aether, sends one of his strongest men, Algrim, to Asgard in an attempt to infiltrate the royal palace. Loki watches prisoners get sent to the dungeon while he argues with Frigga, but after she leaves, Algrim springs into action, transforming into a Kursed and breaking free of his cell, killing the guards in the process. Algrim leaves Loki in his cell, freeing everyone else.
While Thor heads to the dungeons, Frigga protects Jane. At the Bifröst bridge, Heimdall spots and brings down a cloaked Dark Elf ship, but can't begin to take down the multitude of others that have also come in with Malekith's army. The turrets and craft of Asgard have to stand in for defence. Instead, Heimdall activates a barrier around the royal palace, attempting to seal it off until Algrim destroys the technology inside. One ship crashes straight through.

Answer: Dr. Strange

Shortly after finding out that Jane Foster and Thor had broken up, Dr. Strange left Thor a card to help him locate the Sanctum Sanctorum. Once in Strange's layer, Stephen helped Thor to locate Odin. It was the first time they'd met up on screen chronologically, though a short scene had been used as an after credits sequence in another Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

Answer: Sif

After acquiring Loki's help, Thor makes plans to leave Asgard safely. Sif is planning to fight off the guards, but she raises her blade to Loki prior, letting him know that if he betrays Thor, he's a dead man.

Answer: Darcy

Darcy is in college, and works with her co-workers, Jane and Erik, more as their intern/assistant.

She doesn't really understand what Jane and Erik, Jane's mentor, are studying, because she is not a Science major, but a Political Science major (which are two separate, very different things.)

Answer: Zeus

After battling Gorr the God Butcher, Thor realizes that the Necrosword and shadow monsters are formidable enemies. When Thor enlists the help of the gods in Omnipotence City, Zeus refuses to assist and he throws a thunderbolt at Thor's friend, the stone humanoid Korg, which breaks apart his body. Thor, Valkyrie and Jane eventually escape with Zeus's thunderbolt but not an army of gods as they had hoped.

Answer: Frigga

Malekith himself emerges as his forces infiltrate the palace, stepping out and sensing his way to the aether, destroying the throne along the way. Odin reaches the throne room just too late, but realizes that Frigga and Jane are in danger. Frigga, having armed herself, stands up to Malekith, putting herself between the Dark Elf and Jane and engaging in a sword fight. She is, however, killed when Algrim intervenes and the Jane before them is revealed to have been an illusion. Odin and Thor arrive moments too late to save her and she is laid to rest in a burning pyre, her spirit freed into the universe along with those who fell in the battle.
In London, Dr. Selvig describes the Convergence to a crowd of mental patients. Darcy, meanwhile, tries to get a hold of him and discovers that he's on the news.

Answer: Dr. Selvig

Coulson speaks to Thor directly in an interrogation room and when Coulson leaves the room, Loki appears before Thor, informing him that Odin has died - his banishment and the threat of a new war was too much to bear - and that a truce with Jotunheim is contingent upon Thor's continued exile. All of this is a lie, but Thor believes it and he apologizes to his brother. Loki later tries to move Mjolnir himself, but is unable.
Jane returns to Selvig and Darcy and the three of them think about the Norse mythology they've read in books, ultimately stumbling across Mjolnir, Thor, Loki, and others from the old stories. Selvig is skeptical of everything, but Jane feels it's best to pursue every lead, no matter how strange, because it could get them closer to understanding their astrophysics research.
Dr. Selvig puts himself forward and pretends that Thor is his colleague to try and break him out for Jane. Coulson lets this happen knowing full well that Thor is not the man they say he is, but he has them tailed. And then Selvig and Thor drink way too much. Back at Jane's office, Thor tries to make sense of her research with her, explaining the Nine Realms, and it's clear that they both seem to have an attraction to one another.

Answer: Valkyrie

Played by Tessa Thompson, it was Valkyrie's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While on Sakaar, she was known as Scrapper 142. She was also an Asgardian, having been outcast when Hela had destroyed the rest of the Valkyries.

Answer: Loki

While trying to escape Asgard, Thor grazes the statue of his grandfather Bor. The head comes off of the statue and Loki pokes fun at what Thor has done.
