Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is a big jolly man with reindeer at a space center?

Answer: A Santa at NASA

SANTA - "Santa" (proper noun) is the big, jolly gift-giver that visits the good children at Christmas time! (I, VBookWorm, don't even believe in Santa. Only children do.) This is the part pictured.

NASA - "NASA" (proper noun) stands for "National Aeronautics and Space Administration". NASA is the US organization responsible for sending astronauts into space.
2. What is it called when you are worshipped or revered as a god? (This photo doesn't include a hint.)

Answer: Deified

DEIFIED - To be "defied" (verb) means to be worshipped and revered as a god. Lots of international religions worship different deities. Jews worship Hashem; Christians worship God, and highly revere Jesus and the Virgin Mary; Muslims worship Allah; Ancient Greeks worshiped many, but their chief god was Zeus; and Ancient Egyptians worshiped too many to count.
3. What might a Mexican food feline be called?

Answer: Taco cat

TACO - Tacos originate from Mexico but have found their way into American cuisine. Tacos typically consist of a tortilla filled with cooked meat and vegetables.

CAT - "Feline" is the scientific name for this family of animals. It includes domestic cats, tigers, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and such.
4. What is a morally bad ovoid fruit?

Answer: Evil olive

EVIL - To be "evil" (adjective) means to be morally wicked or bad. Examples of bad morals are theft; murder; kidnapping; and thus defined as evil.

OLIVE - An "olive" (noun) is a fruit (with a big pit) only edible if brined in a jar or squeezed into olive oil. This is what is pictured.
5. What is it called when you get a pear-shaped fruit for your birthday?

Answer: Gift fig

GIFT - A "gift" (noun) is a present given to an individual on a special occasion.

FIG - A "fig" (noun) is a seedy, mushy, sticky fruit that grows on a tree. This is what is pictured.
6. What could you call an item that turns? (This photo doesn't include a hint.)

Answer: Rotator

The rotator cuff is a muscle group located in the shoulders. Their main function is to prevent the shoulder coming out of its socket while, you guessed it, rotating something. Then there's something called a rotator truck, which is one of the largest tow trucks existing.

A rotor can be found spinning around on the top of a helicopter.
7. What do you say when your mother possesses pork meat?

Answer: Ma has a ham

MA - "Ma" is the slang form of "mother" (noun). A mother is the female parent of a child.

HAM - "Ham" (noun) is a certain type of pork meat, traditionally eaten on holidays. This is what is pictured.
8. What time is it at exactly 12:00 pm? (This photo doesn't include a hint.)

Answer: Noon

"Noon" (noun) is the middle of the day, at exactly 12:00 PM, since there are 24 hours in a day. However, 12:00 AM is midnight and is when the new day starts.
9. What do you call someone who loves albacore?

Answer: Tuna nut

TUNA - "Tuna" is a certain type of salt-water fish. Albacore is the term for the smaller variety of tuna. Yellowfin and Skipjack are some examples of albacore. Canned tuna is pictured as the clue.

NUT - A "nut" (noun), (in the context we are using here), is an individual crazy about a certain thing. Another context of "nut" is a food, a hard, usually brown, fruit-like thing that grows on trees. Some of the many varieties are almonds, pistachios, walnuts, and pecans.
10. What do you call non-aspirin that is all alone?

Answer: Lonely Tylenol

LONELY - To be "lonely" (adjective) means to be all alone and sad about it.

TYLENOL - "Tylenol" is a certain pain killer. The picture is not Tylenol, but an unspecified medication.
