The mega-popular evening soaper showcased the business shenanigans and dirty dealings surrounding the Ewing clan, and the public loved it so much that it was decided two decades later that the formula might work again, and so "Dallas" was reborn in 2012, but lasted only three seasons this time as it focused on the next generation of the dynasty clashing over their fortune and assets.

In the 1950 film "Dallas", Gary Cooper played Blaye "Reb" Hollister out to seek revenge against the Marlowe Brothers who destroyed his family. Hollister is aided by his friend Wild Bill Hickok, a character that Cooper himself played fourteen years earlier in the film, "The Plainsman" (1936).

Bette Davis' character Ms. Laura Trent was the owner but when Ms. Davis was hospitalized, actress Anne Baxter stepped into the show as Victoria Cabot, the sister-in-law of Ms. Trent, which is ironic casting or perhaps savvy casting on the producers' part because Anne Baxter had played the sneaky assistant Eve Harrington in the 1950 film "All About Eve" in which she schemed to supplant the Broadway star played by Bette Davis.

The two drama films titled "Hotel" came out in 1967 (starring Rod Taylor, Karl Malden, Melvyn Douglas, etc.) and 2013 (starring Alicia Vikander). The comedy came out in 2001 in which Salma Hayek, Saffron Burrows, Lucy Liu, John Malkovich, Burt Reynolds, David Schwimmer, and Julian Sands all appeared.

"Supernatural" ran from 2005 to 2020, and starred Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as brothers Sam and Dean Winchester who, like their father before them, research and track down evil supernatural beings, like the one that killed their mother when they were boys. As they fight the paranormal, supernatural meanies, they also search for their missing father.

The British "Supernatural" featured the "Club of the Damned" in which applicants had to tell a scary story to be admitted in, and if it wasn't frightening enough, that person would be killed.

The Thai film called "Supernatural" takes place in the future and the director Thunska Pansittivorakul uses the conceit to explore issues confronting present-day Thailand. The Spanish film was about old bullfighter played by Andres Vazquez who meditates on the mystery of art and death as he prepares to kill a bull. And that pre-Hays Code 1933 Carole Lombard film sees her playing Roma Courtney, a woman who attends a seance and gets possessed by a black widow serial killer.
