For over 10,000 years, a spirit of pure evil known as Dai Shi has been locked away and safely guarded by the Pai Zhuq - The Order of the Claw - a secretive Kung Fu clan. The Pai Zhuq select their three top members - Jarrod, Theo Martin, and Lily Chilman - to become the new guardians of Dai Shi. That's how the initial team of three rangers was chosen, the team then expanded from there as the season went on.

7. Power Rangers Samurai

No new "Power Rangers" series was produced in 2010; instead a reimagined and condensed version of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" aired with added graphics and pop ups on screen. When that wasn't well received, a new series was commissioned.

"Power Rangers Samurai" debuted in 2011, with a return to the original production company of Saban Entertainment. For several years the producers created a second season with essentially the same team, just adding "super" into the titles. "Power Rangers Super Samurai" debuted in 2012.

9. Power Rangers Dino Charge

"Power Rangers Dino Charge" was the 2015 show with "Power Rangers Dino Super Charge" in 2016.

Keeper is found by paleontologist Kendall Morgan and they set up a base under the Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum in the city of Amber Beach. They begin a mission to find the Energems, but five have already been found by teenagers, who use them to morph into the Dino Charge Power Rangers.

10. Power Rangers Ninja Steel

"Power Rangers Ninja Steel" in 2017 and "Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel" in 2018 were the next series in the franchise.

Galvanax is the reigning champion of Galaxy Warriors, the most popular intergalactic TV game show in the universe, where contestants from all over the universe battle to prove who is the galaxy's mightiest warrior. He has become determined to make himself invincible by controlling the mythical Ninja Nexus Prism, which contains the supernatural Ninja Nexus Star.

It's fragments of that star that power the rangers' abilities for this series.

11. Power Rangers Beast Morphers

"Power Rangers Beast Morphers," was the first series to get two seasons without at least a small name tweak since "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers".

Beast Morphers was the first season produced by Hasbro after the toy company bought the franchise from Saban Entertainment.

Scientists in the city of Coral Harbor have discovered a way to convert the infinite power of the Morphin Grid into a physical substance called "Morph-X", providing the city with a source of unlimited clean energy. To protect the city, a secret agency known as Grid Battleforce combines Morph-X with animal DNA to create a new team of Power Rangers.

65 million years ago, evil alien monsters known as Sporix Beasts ravaged the planet Rafkon before traveling to Earth. However, six Rafkonian knights pursued them and, along with six dinosaurs, were granted the power to become the Dino Fury Power Rangers by the Morphin' Masters.

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" served as the 30th anniversary special, and also a bridge between "Dino Fury" and "Cosmic Fury".

In 2022, Billy Cranston calls in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers to fight a robotic version of Rita Repulsa and her Putties. However, Robo-Rita vaporizes Trini Kwan who sacrifices herself to shield Billy, and flees to plan her revenge. Billy and Zack Taylor are forced to tell Trini's now-orphaned daughter Minh about her fate.

The special reunites many of the "Mighty Morphin Rangers" though the original yellow and green rangers are both in suit only during the quick scenes they are in. Both actors had died prior to the special's release.

According to Hasbro, after 30 years, this series was the end of the original "Power Rangers" continuity. The company opted for a complete reboot, rather than to continue telling stories that linked back to the history of the show.

With it being the end of the franchise, Lord Zedd, a villain first introduced in season two of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" was brought back and serves as the main protagonist of this series.
