'"This is Bluestar, she's leader of my clan", Greypaw hissed to Rusty under his breath, "And Lionheart. He's my mentor, which means he's training me to be a warrior."' This is a quote from the beginning of the book when Greypaw meets Rusty and starts to explain about clan life.

Answer: Yellow

'Whitestorm stood in front of Rusty and gazed at him. His white coat was thick and unmarked and his eyes were the yellow of sun-baked sand.' This is a quote from when Lionheart arrives with Whitestorm to take Rusty back to camp. The interesting thing is that later in the series Whitestorm's eyes change colour to blue! (This is probably just a mistake from the authors as it must be quite hard to keep up with all the different cats.)

This is a quote from when Ravenpaw collapsed. (Spottedleaf)'She glanced up and meowed "It's all right, Goldenflower, his wounds aren't fatal"'. Furthermore it couldn't have been Dawncloud because she is not a Thunderclan queen; she is from Shadowclan.

'Firepaw realised she was serious despite the lively glimmer in her warm amber eyes.' This is a quote from when Firepaw and Greypaw are sent away from the medicine cat den by Spottedleaf.

Sandpaw's mentor is Whitestorm. Dustpaw's mentor is Redtail until he dies; then it is Darkstripe. Ravenpaw's mentor is Tigerclaw who seems to hate him. Greypaw's mentor is Lionheart. Runningwind never has an apprentice because Bluestar does not think he has the right qualities, and none of these cats are medicine cats so none of them can be Spottedleaf's apprentice. Willowpelt also never has an apprentice.

He first shares mentors with Greypaw and Ravenpaw but eventually Bluestar takes him on as her own apprentice. Everyone is surprised because this is a great honour; leaders only normally train the kits of deputies.

"I suppose I'm just worried about my shoulder getting hurt again". This is a quote when Ravenpaw is talking to Firepaw and Greypaw before they go out. Tigerclaw soon scolds him telling him that Warriors never complain about their injuries.

'"Keep your rear down Ravenpaw. You look like a duck!" spat Tigerclaw.' This is another quote from the book when the three apprentices are together. Tigerclaw doesn't seem to like his apprentice Ravenpaw, and they do not share the same bond of any other mentor and apprentice.

He caught a rabbit for her, but got tempted himself. He ended up breaking the warrior code on his first solo mission by eating something himself before the clan had been fed. Oops!
