Everyone now believed that the Lord Octesian had met his fate on the island, even though they did not know for sure what had happened.

Reepicheep could see that the serpent was coiling itself around the ship in order to squeeze it in half, and he shouted to everyone to push the animal off the ship's end. By the time the serpent realised he had lost his prey, they had sailed out of reach.

He appeared to stop the fight between Edmund and Caspian, who were arguing over the ownership of the pool which turned things into gold. Caspian had named the island Goldwater, but Reepicheep suggested that the name be changed to Deathwater. None of them told any of the crew what they had found. (Only Eustace saw Aslan on Dragon Island.)

The Dufflepuds had made themselves invisible by magic. They were not the cleverest of creatures, but were able to force Lucy to visit the Magician's rooms to reverse the spell.

Lucy only tried to turn the pages back once. She read a lovely story and then had trouble remembering it, so she tried to re-read the story, but was unable to do so.

Lucy's spell had brought Aslan back into view, just as it did the Dufflepuds and the Magician. As he had been seen on Deathwater, this shows that he is not just in one place at a time, and while he obeys the rules of the magic to be invisible in one place, he is not so hampered in another.

They were originally ugly dwarfs, then the Magician changed them into Monopods - with just the one leg and a huge foot. Having been called 'Duffers' before, they eventually settled for a mixture of the two names - and became 'Dufflepuds'.

Once they hear that it is the island where real dreams (nightmares) come true, every single member of the ship's company (but for Reepicheep) start to row with all all their might. Lucy calls on Aslan for help and they are saved. Lord Rhoop has escaped the island with them.

They were the Lords Revilian, Argoz and Mavramorn. They had fallen into an enchanted sleep because they touched the stone knife which was kept on the table (this knife was the one which was used to kill Aslan in 'The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe').

Lord Rhoop was given sleep without dreams to recouperate. Pittencream was a sailor who did not want to go on to the edge of the world.

Lucy saw a city or a castle on a hill, then she saw a hunting party. Later she saw a shepherd girl with her fish grazing in the shallows.

Had Reepicheep not fallen into the water and tasted it, they would not have thought to do so. Caspian was the next to taste the water, then Lucy.
