You can find the romantic island paradise of Bora Bora in the South Pacific at Tahiti. It is considered part of the 'France of the Pacific'.

2. Before it became known as Zambia in 1964, what was this nation's British endowed name?

Answer: Northern Rhodesia

After this area of Africa was colonised by the British in the 18th century, the British incorporated the areas known as Barotiziland-North-Western Rhodesia and North-Eastern Rhodesia into the one, and renamed it officially as Northern Rhodesia in 1811. From that date until October, 1964, when this part of Africa gain independence from the United Kingdom, it was known as thus, but from independence, it became known as Zambia - a name meaning "Grand River".

George Washington is known to Americans as "the father of our country." D.C. stands for "District of Columbia" and it is not a state, but a federal district which is not a part of any of the States around it (Maryland, Virginia). The only city in the district is Washington.

Answer: Wilhelmina

Wilhelmina was Queen of the Netherlands from 1890 to 1948. Aruba is a Dutch island and the monarch of the Netherlands is also monarch of Aruba. The statue in Oranjestad gives her dates as 1898-1948. This is because she was only 10 when she became Queen, not reigning without regent until she was 18. Having led her people through the difficult years of WW II she abdicated in favour of her daughter in 1948.
