Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which member of KISS is on the $50 note?

Answer: Paul Stanley

Paul Stanley is both a singer and guitarist in KISS. He always has a black star painted over his right eye, and his nickname is Star Child. The money in KISS-Opoly is the same amounts as in regular Monopoly, but the colors are different. For example, the $50 note is orange, and the $500 note is green.
2. Do you still collect $200 every time you go pass Go, as you do in the original Monopoly game?

Answer: Yes

The starting space in this game is called "Rock and Roll All Nite". Every time you pass it or draw a card that says to go to it, you collect $200.
3. What is the most expensive property on the KISS-Opoly board?

Answer: KISS Platinum Gold Box Set

The prices in KISS-Opoly are slghtly higher than in traditional Monopoly. The least expensive property is "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park", which is $70. The most expensive, the KISS Platinum Gold Box Set, is $425. In regular Monopoly, the most expensive property, Boardwalk, costs only $400.
4. What do you buy instead of houses and hotels?

Answer: Gold records and platinum records

The gold records and platinum records work the same way as houses and hotels. Gold records cost between $50 and $200, depending on what side of the board the property is on. When you have four gold records, you can buy a platinum record. The more records you have, the higher the rent.
5. Instead of Chance and Community Chest, what are the two card decks?

Answer: Backstage Pass and General Admission

The Backstage Pass cards have an orange exclamation mark, and General Admission cards have a blue music note. If you take a General Admission card, you may be asked to pay $50 to replace a broken string on Paul Stanley's guitar, receive $50 for tuning Ace Frehley's guitar, or you may have to move to a certain space on the board.

Some of the Backstage Pass cards include pay $10 for a KISS calendar, receive $50 for setting up Peter Criss's drum set, and pay $20 for tickets at a concert in Japan. It is quite different from the usual Monopoly!
6. What color are the properties "Shandi", "Christine Sixteen", and "Beth"?

Answer: Blue

As you go around the board, you buy KISS albums, songs, and even some things like a KISS pinball machine and original KISS action figures. The blue properties take the places of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky Avenue. All of the colors of the properties are switched to different places than in regular Monopoly. KISS-Opoly has light green instead of the light blue properties.
7. Which of these is NOT one of the player's tokens?

Answer: Drum stick

This version of Monopoly has only six movers instead of the traditional ten. It has Paul Stanley's guitar, Gene Simmons's guitar, the "KISS Army" logo, a fireman's hat, a bag of money, and a tall, spiked boot.
8. What space takes the place of Free Parking?

Answer: Free Money

Unlike regular Monopoly where you receive no money for landing on Free Parking, you can collect money if you land on the Free Money space. The rules of the game even say to put all money you pay from fines on cards and money to get out of Sold Out Show on this space.
9. KISS-Opoly uses only one dice instead of two.

Answer: False

KISS-Opoly has the same number of spaces as regular Monopoly and all the other versions I have seen, so it would make sense to have two dice. The dice may be either black or white.
10. Which of these albums is one of the properties?

Answer: Rock and Roll Over

"Rock and Roll Over" was KISS's 1976 album. On the board, it takes the place of Pacific Avenue in regular Monopoly. There are many KISS albums which aren't mentioned in the game.
