The formation is used by three Clans from the Hidden Leaf village: the Nara Clan, the Yamanaka Clan and the Akimichi Clan. The three Clans have a long history of working together.

The members of the Nara Clan are mostly known for their intelligence and Ninjutsu (Ninja techniques). The Nara Clan's Ninjutsu is based on manipulating shadows. They can use the shadows to attach, bind, choke or pierce their opponents. It's customary for the male members of the Clan to tie their hair in a ponytail.

Members of the Yamanaka Clan are known for their cultivation of flowers and their flower shop. Also, the Yamanaka Clan specialises in Ninjutsu connected with the nervous system. They can take control of a person's mind and body, gather intelligence from dead or alive people and use telepathic communication. Most of the members are shown to have quite long hair styles.

The Akimichi Clani is one of the four noble Clans from the Hidden Leaf village. Overall, they are big people who still wear armor like in the era before the creation of the Hidden villages, and the members have unique tattoos on their cheeks. Their Ninjutsu mostly consists of enhancing the size of their body, partially or fully.

All the Ninjutsu used by these Clans are Hidden techniques, meaning the only users of the techniques are those certain Clans.

Zaku Abumi was a Genin (Low Ninja) from the Land of Rice Fields, from the Hidden Sound village. He was part of the Sound Trio, along with Dosu Kinuta and Kin Tsuchi, under Orochimaru's command.

The writing on Zaku's shirt, (Shi*Shi*Shi), means Death*Death*Death.

The Sand Siblings broke the old record of four hours, and finished the exam in an hour and thirty-seven minutes.

They are from the Land of Wind, from the Hidden Sand village. They were the Fourth Kazekage's children: Temari, the oldest daughter, Kankuro the middle brother who is only one year younger than his sister and the youngest, Gaara, who is two years younger than Kankuro

Temari is Jonin (High Ninja) and a Tessenjutsu (Iron-Fan technique) user, which is common in the Hidden Sand village. These type of Ninja use Giant Folding Fan (Kyodai Sensu) for performing techniques.

Kankuro is Jonin (High Ninja) and a Puppet Master. This type of Ninja is also common in the Hidden Sand village. The puppeteers use Puppets (Kugutsu) as weapons. The puppets are full of hidden weapons and poisons.

Gaara is the Fifth Kazekage and was the third Jinchuriki of Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast, until the Akatsuki Organisation sealed it out of him. He is mostly known for his usage of Sand as a primary weapon for both offence and defence.

Akamaru is white furred Ninken (Ninja Dog) with brown patches on his ears (kinda resembles a Great Pyrenees).

Akamaru is one of the Hidden Leaf village's Inuzuka Clan Ninken. More accurately, Akamaru is Kiba's Ninken, partner and best friend. Also, they share the same birthday, July the seventh.

Each member of the Inuzuka Clan has one, two or more Ninken as partners in battle. All their Ninjutus (Ninja techniques) and Taijutsu (Body techniques) are used in a combination with their Ninken.

The odor was due to the people he had killed, by crushing and twisting their bodies with his sand until they were dead. The blood of all those people stained the sand with its unique odor.

Gaara can manipulate all the sand around him, with ease. He also carries sand with him in a giant sand gourd that he carries on his back. But the sand in the gourd isn't like any normal sand, because it's infused with Gaara's Chakra which makes it much faster.

There was a rule that didn't allow the participants to open the Scrolls until they finished the exam, that is they had to get to the tower that was located in the center of The Forest of Death. Also, the participants had to have both Heaven and Earth Scroll to actually finish the Second Exam of the Chunin Exams.

In some of the previous exams, years ago, within the Scrolls was set up a hypnotism type technique that would knock out those that saw it until the end of the exam.

Answer: Mist Servant technique

Mist Servant technique (Kasumi Jusha no Jutsu) is a D-Rank technique. The technique creates clones of the users, which in reality are just an illusion. It doesn't matter how many of them one destroys, they will always multiply. This technique is used to drain the opponents' Chakra. Meaning, after using the technique the users don't have to worry much about their opponents, because they have used too much of their strength while fighting the illusions.

Answer: Genjutsu and Bunshinjutsu

Genjutsu (Illusionary techniques) are techniques used to attack the opponent's Nervous System. The victims are influenced through their senses, mostly though their vision, but the ones that attack the opponent's hearing are considered to be the most dangerous. The illusions are leading the victim to believe that he or her is in pain, causing trauma.

Bunshinjutsu (Clone techniques) are techniques with which the users can create "clones" of themselves or their weapons. There are many different types of Bunshinjutsu: Shadow Clones, Clay Clones, Water Clones, Wood Clones etc.

Answer: Orochimaru

Kabuto was an orphan who lived in the Hidden Leaf village's Orphanage. He joined the Hidden Leaf village's Root Foundation and became a spy. Kabuto had spent almost his whole life as a spy, being transferred from one country to another, until defected the Foundation and joined Orochimaru.

Kabuto wasn't just Orochimaru's spy, he was also his right-hand man and top Iryo-Nin (Medical Ninja).

Orochimaru, as always, was interested in the Uchiha Clan's Kekkei Genkai (Bloodline Limit), the Sharingan (Copy Wheel Eye). The only one alive possessing the Sharingan, besides Itachi from whom Orochimaru failed to take it, was Sasuke.

The Sharingan is a Dojutsu (Eye technique) and a Kekkei Genkai (Bloodline Limit), which appeared in some members of the Uchiha Clan. It's a red-colored eye, with three Tomoe. The number of Tomoe on a Sharingan shows how much it had matured.

The Sharingan has a advanced form called the Mangekyo Sharingan (Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye), which is even rarer than the normal Sharingan. If this form is over used the user starts to loose the eye's light and eventually goes blind. But some members of the Uchiha Clan (Madara and Sasuke) prevented this happening by fusing their brother's eyes with their own and gaining the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
