Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As you stand by the ExtraOrdinary Wizard's side, the formalities go on and on. Finally it is time to see if you draw the Questing Stone. According to tradition, what must you draw the Stone from?

Answer: The Questing Pot

The Questing pot is actually a large urn, but it's still called a Questing Pot.
2. Now Apprentice, you must draw a stone. How do you know if you must go on the Queste?

Answer: The stone has a Q on it

The Questing Stone is a stone with an elaborate gold Q on it. Other stones are plain blue pebbles.
3. The stone you draw is blue with an elaborate Q on it. Whether this is a blessing or a curse is up to you. You decide to follow in the footsteps of the only successful Queste so far, that of Septimus Heap. What was the first step in getting to the House of Foryx?

Answer: Take the Forest Way

In order to get a guide to the Forest Way, you must either pay the Witch Mother to show you the way or just enlist the help of Sam Heap.
4. The branches guarding the Forest Way slowly move upwards as you are led to the corridor of the doors. Which door do you choose?

Answer: The door that leads to the forest of snow

Septimus and Jenna know this because Nicko and Snorri had included warm clothes on their list of things to take on the Queste.
5. As you go through the third door, you quickly realize that you have no idea where you are. You take out a map, given to you by the ExtraOrdinary Wizard. What spell would be most useful for finding out where you are?

Answer: Navigate

To use the navigate spell you need a compass and a wire cross. The incantation is:
"Lead us here through dale and dell
Guide us true and guide us well."
6. As you make your way toward the House of Foryx, it grows darker and darker. As you climb over a particularly nasty hill, you see a pinpoint of light. What is it coming from?

Answer: The refuge hut

The refuge hut is spartan but has a warm fireplace and plenty of blankets.
7. Finally, you make it to the perilous bridge. As you gather up your courage to set foot on the bridge, someone stops you. Who is it?

Answer: The Toll-man

The Toll-man lives in a treehouse and never takes from travelers more than they have. What he does with all of that stuff is yet to be explained.
8. The Toll-man asks for your Apprentice belt. You reach to unbuckle it, but draw out of your pocket a Freeze charm. You Freeze the Toll-man and begin to cross the bridge. Even for one so brave as you, the bridge is absolutely terrifying. Why?

Answer: All of these

The Queste Guards that Hotep-Ra hired were meant to help you cross the bridge, but instead they were bewitched to kill the Quester.
9. You answer the three riddles and enter the House of Foryx, upon which you are escorted to a door that looks just like the door to the ExtraOrdinary's bedroom! Who is waiting inside for you?

Answer: Hotep-Ra

Though Talmar Ray Bell escorts you into the room, she is not already there.
10. Hotep-Ra asks you for your Questing stone, which had turned a fiery red since crossing the bridge. What color does he turn the stone to?

Answer: Black

"Now seek the Black; there's no going back". When Hotep-Ra turns the stone black, it also reveals the number on the back.
