"The Walking Dead" Graphic Novel: Part One Quiz

After a violent shootout with a convict, Rick was taken to the Harrison Memorial Hospital. He woke up and found himself all alone; there were no nurses, doctors, patients, or visitors. It was there that Rick recovered from his serious injuries. The sign was seen after he left the building.

Answer: Morgan

Morgan heard reports that told people to travel to Atlanta, where the government could keep them safe. However, he felt he would be better off staying out of the large cities. This proved to be an excellent choice. He and his son decided to settle down in a safe-looking neighborhood, which was incidentally Rick's.

Answer: Duane

Duane Jones was Morgan's son. He had assumed that Rick was a zombie. Rick forgave him when he realized how dangerous the world now was. Incidentally, Duane Jones starred in "Night of the Living Dead," the first part of the series that the author truly respected. In the introduction, he said that he loved the movie "Dawn of the Dead."

Answer: Guns and a car

Rick took them to the police station. He loaded up on shotguns and pistols, knowing there would be many battles ahead. Before he left the kind duo, Rick gave them a strong supply of weapons and a police car. He told Morgan that the police car would be better than the car- a hatchback- he currently drove.

Answer: He rode a horse

Rick found a home filled with deceased people. Near the house was a barn with one remaining horse. The horse, which had been cooped up inside the barn for a long time, took off eagerly and almost threw Rick off. Together, they made it to Atlanta, where Rick hoped he would find his family.

Answer: They covered themselves with zombie blood

Rick realized that the zombies weren't attacking each other. They attacked humans because they smelled different. So he and Glenn took pieces of a zombie and caked themselves with blood. The smell was horrible, but it worked; they made it into the city.

Answer: It started to rain

The rain came down and washed the blood- and the scent- off of Glenn and Rick. Immediately all of the stoic zombies grew agitated and began to chase the men. The two, who had raided a gun shop, almost lost all of the weapons they had gotten. They barely made it back to the camp alive.

Answer: Andrea

Andrea was the survivor who was formerly a law clerk. She told the others that the job was one of the few things she did not miss about life before the zombies. Andrea was the one who shocked everybody with her amazing ability to aim well.

Answer: Jim

Jim, a former mechanic, used to live in Atlanta. He was surrounded by his family when the zombies came. He made it out of the city only because his entire family died protecting him. During an attack in the night, Jim finally let his emotions show. He beat a zombie with his gun but got bitten in the process. He asked his friends to leave him alone in the woods.

Answer: Andrea

Jim and Amy died on the same night. Technically, Jim died after suffering through the infection of a zombie bite, which he received the same night that Amy died. While the group sat by a campfire, several zombies approached and attacked Amy before she even had a chance to defend herself. Jim was bitten fighting off another zombie. Shane was shot by little Carl just as he was trying to murder Rick.

The story ended with Carl crying, saying that shooting humans felt different than shooting zombies.
