Answer: Onu

Though most tribes are mobile, on the map inside the book "Seeing Redd", part 2 in the "Looking Glass Wars" trilogy, the Onu tribe is located in north central Boarderland.

Uno was invented in 1971, and is the Spanish or Italian word for "one". The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards, and when you are down to one card, you shout out "Uno!"

Answer: Canasta

The Astacan tribe is located at the very northern part of Boarderland, near the border of Morgavia.

Canasta was invented in 1939, and is believed to be a variation of 500 Rum. In the came, the goal is to make "canastas" (combinations of seven cards of the same value). Once you can go out, you get points for the types of "canaastas" you have made.

Answer: Scabbler

The Scabbler tribe is located near the Glyph Cliffs in northwestern Boarderland. The Glyph Cliffs are on the boarder of Boarderland and Outerwilderbeastia.

Scrabble was invented in 1931, under the name "Lexiko", and was very different from the Scrabble we know today. It became a crossword-puzzle game under the name "Scrabble" in 1948.

Answer: Free Cell

The Fel Creel tribe is located near Fortune Bay, in the central western part of Boarderland.

Though it is unknown what the exact origins of Free Cell are, it may have been a game similar to Eight Off, now called Baker's Game, invented in 1968. However, it may be related to a 1945 game, Forty Thieves. The object of the game is similar to Solitaire: build up all four suits in a deck from ace to king.

Answer: Awr

The Awr tribe is located in the northeastern part of Boarderland.

It is not exactly clear how the card game "War" came to be, but it is often played by children as it is a very simple game. The object is to gain all the cards in a deck, by "battling" your opponent. The highest card wins the trick, and when players tie, they go to "war", by placing three cards face down, and flipping the top card, and the winner of that will get all the cards in the pot. A computer program played 1,000,000 games, and in those 1,000,000, a sextuple war only happened once!

Answer: Dominoes

The Doomsine tribe lives just to the west of Boarderton, the main settlement and capital of Boarderland, and also where King Arch resides.

The oldest set of dominoes tiles date back to the 12th century, but the Chinese are crediting with inventing the modern dominoes. The most common sets include the Double-6 set, Double-9 set, Double-12 set, Double-15 set, and Double-18 set. In a Double-18 set, there are 190 tiles, with 3,420 pips (or dots) on them in total!

Answer: Shifog

The Shifog tribe is located in the west central part of Boarderland. It is just a little south from Boarderton.

Go Fish has been around for a long time. It is played with a special "Go Fish" deck, or just a regular 52-card deck. The object of the game is to make pairs by asking players if they have a certain card.

Answer: Bingo

The Gnobi tribe lives in south central Boarderland, near the main river that splits the southern part of Boarderland with the rest. The Bogin tribe lives in the southeast of Boarderland.

Bingo has been around for hundreds of years, since 1776 when the term "bingo" was used for lotteries in general. However, the modern version of Bingo, the game where you must get five in a row on a card, using numbers called out by the Bingo caller, was invented in 1934.

Answer: Maldoid

The Maldoid tribe lives in the very southwestern corner of Boarderland, which borders Unterlan.

Old Maid was first made by the Parker Brothers in 1880. The game is similar to Go Fish, but one randomly takes a card from another player (instead of asking) and whoever is left with the "old maid" is the loser. The game was based on an old game in which the loser, left with the "old maid", would buy everybody's drinks.

Answer: Monopoly

The Moonploy tribe live in southwestern Boarderland, bordering both the Bookie River and Fortune Bay.

Monopoly is a board game that can be traced back all the way to 1903, but did not become "Monopoly" until 1935. The object of the game is to get the most money before someone goes bankrupt. In the game, you can buy property, houses and hotels, and you also pay rent and go to jail.
