Joy has a girlfriend named Becky that Evelyn does not want to introduce to her father Gong Gong. Evelyn thinks that her father will not understand Joy having a girlfriend. When Becky is introduced to Gong Gong, Evelyn tells him that she is Joy's good friend rather than girlfriend. This angers Joy because she thinks her mom does not approve of her lifestyle.

Evelyn first learns about the multiverse when she is in an elevator with her husband. Waymond's form from the 'Alphaverse' (Alpha Waymond) tells Evelyn that she has to access the multiverse to gain talents from other dimensions to save the multiverse itself.

When Evelyn goes to another dimension for the first time, her auditor Deidre kills her and her husband Waymond. Luckily there are thousands of dimensions and Waymond tells her that dimension (janitor closet) was just for training. After Evelyn returns to the dimension of her normal life, she punches Deidre in the face thinking that Deidre wants to kill her.

Alpha Waymond utilizes his waist pouch and martial arts skills to take out the guards trying to arrest him and Evelyn. His waist pouch has a strap that he can use to hit enemies from a distance and he also puts rocks from a fish tank into the waist pouch to make it hurt more when he strikes someone with it.

Answer: Jobu Tupaki

Jobu Tupaki was created in the Alphaverse when Evelyn pushed Joy beyond her potential and her mind overloaded. Her mind became fractured and she experienced 'everything everywhere all at once' (the movie's title). With this omniscience, Joy realizes that nothing matters and she adopts the moniker Jobu Tupaki and creates havoc across the multiverse.

Other individuals in the Alphaverse communicate with Alpha Waymond to assist with verse jumping to other dimensions. This is typically done when in danger and it involves an algorithm that determines the best action to initiate the verse jump. These actions are typically absurd and when Deidre is attacking Alpha Waymond he is told to give himself four papercuts to verse jump. Comically, he tries and fails numerous times and yells that it is hard to give yourself a papercut when you're actually trying to.

Answer: Rocks

Joy takes her mom Evelyn to one of the dimensions where she goes to relax because it is picturesque and peaceful. In the dimension Joy and Evelyn take on the form of rocks. Evelyn annoys Joy because she keeps asking her questions about why she has become the villainous Jobu Tupaki and what she can do to make her life better.

Jobu Tupaki, Joy's villainous form in the multiverse, realized that nothing really mattered once she could see everything everywhere all at once. She decided to put everything into a massive spinning bagel. She takes her mom, Evelyn, to this 'everything' bagel and her mom is eventually able to save the rest of the multiverse from being sucked into the bagel.

Answer: Be kind and talk to people

Alpha Waymond tells Evelyn that to stop Jobu Tupaki (Joy's evil form in the multiverse) she has to be kind and talk to people. Evelyn tries this tactic out on Jobu Tupaki's followers that are attacking her and is surprised to see that it works. Evelyn puts a 'googly eye' on her forehead that assists her in knowing what will make Jobu Tupaki's followers happy.

When they get back to their normal life dimension, Evelyn has a serious conversation with her daughter Joy and they agree to be more open and honest with each other.
