Among the people who listen to the program is Annie Reed (Meg Ryan), a reporter who decides to meet him. Some people considered "Sleepless in Seattle" one of the best romantic comedy movies of all time.

Despite hating each other, the couple reunites when their daughter informs them that she is going to marry a Balinese farmer. The couple travels to Bali with the intention of sabotaging the wedding, but their plans fail and the wedding goes ahead. During this time together, the couple reflect on their failed marriage and decide to give their relationship another chance.
