Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did Ricky and Julian do immediately upon being released from jail?

Answer: Stole a Department of Corrections vehicle

"Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day" picked up the chain of events two years after the television special "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys", which aired after the television show's seventh and final season. Ricky, Julian and Bubbles had been sent to jail and, in "Countdown to Liquor Day", were released on parole. Bubbles was released during morning parole, and took the jail's bus back to the trailer park, hoping Ricky and Julian would be following in the afternoon. Julian was released after showing the parole committee that he'd completed a course in auto body repair while in prison, and convinced them that he would lead a legitimate life. Ricky was somehow released too, even though he told the parole board that he was going to grow marijuana for a living. Ricky and Julian left the jail, got on the bus by the front door, immediately got off the bus by the back emergency exit, and then stole a Department of Corrections van. Before returning home, they stopped and robbed a liquor store, to get some "start up money".
2. Shortly after being released from jail, Bubbles got into an altercation with Randy, which led to Ricky doing what to Randy?

Answer: Shaving off all his hair

Bubbles went to confront Mr. Lahey about getting rid of his cats and ended up wrestling with Randy. Randy had had an electric razor, and it ended up getting caught in Bubbles' hair. To get it out, Mr. Lahey had to shave a section of Bubbles' hair off.

When Ricky found out what had happened, he went to Randy and Lahey's trailer, wrestled Randy to the ground and shaved his whole head. He also then drew the outline of hair on Randy's head with a permanent marker. Randy tried to make the situation better by drawing on more hair and filling it in with marker, then tried to cover it up with a hat. Julian convinced him that the permanent marker hair looked good, and for the rest of the movie, Randy walked around with drawn-on hair.
3. Why did Mr. Lahey have to make nice with Julian?

Answer: He needed to run a sewer line through Julian's property.

While the boys were in jail, Mr. Lahey had bought some unused Sunnyvale land from his ex-wife, Barb, and built a luxury addition to the trailer park, which he called Lahey's Luxury Estates. The only problem was that no one living in the new luxury park had any plumbing because Mr. Lahey had screwed up and not realized that he'd have to run the sewage line through Julian's property.

When Julian got out of jail, Mr. Lahey tried really hard to be nice to him, offering him a huge discount on a new luxury trailer, but Julian was adamant about not moving out of the trailer that his grandmother had once owned and lived in.
4. What did Tyrone get arrested for?

Answer: Breaking into the SPCA

Bubbles had previously gone down to the SPCA animal shelter to try to get his cats back, but they wouldn't let him just take the cats. He needed to pay the fees associated with adopting pets, which worked out to over $3000 for all 27 of his cats. When his first few attempts to make money failed, Bubbles decided that they would have to break into the SPCA and just take the cats. Ricky, Julian, J-Roc and Tyrone went with him, but while there, Ricky got into a struggle with some dogs and they had to abort the plan before the cops came.

While fleeing the scene, Ricky shut the automatically locking door, before Tyrone could get out, so Tyrone was the one who got arrested when the police showed up.
5. Why did Randy leave Mr. Lahey?

Answer: Lahey started drinking again.

Mr. Lahey had successfully given up alcohol, but in a moment of celebration, he begged Randy to let him have a sip of his beer. That one sip sent him into a downward spiral. At first he promised Randy he'd only have wine coolers and beer, but not very long after he was back on the hard liquor.

He told Randy that the whole time he'd stayed sober, he'd been counting down to liquor day, a quote which gave the movie its subtitle. Randy couldn't deal with a drunk Lahey anymore and packed his stuff and left.

At first, Randy tried to go back to his old lifestyle of being a male prostitute in drag, but Julian took him off the street and let Randy sleep on his porch, leading Randy to join Julian in his plan to rob a bank.
6. When Bubbles became more desperate to get his cats back, he took a job working for whom?

Answer: Mr. Lahey

Mr. Lahey offered Bubbles a job as a groundskeeper around his luxury trailer park, and even offered the perk of a new luxury shed for Bubbles to live in. Bubbles turned down the job at first, but when all other plans to get his cats back failed, Bubbles accepted the job.

He was a bit surprised, though, to find that his groundskeeping and landscaping duties including washing Lahey's underpants.
7. Did Ricky pass his grade 12 test?

Answer: No

Ricky wanted to improve his life by finally passing his grade 12 equivalency test. He'd earned his grades 10 and 11 during the run of the television series, and thought he'd be set for life after passing his grade 12. He, unfortunately, scored a 48 on the exam and failed. Julian made him feel better by saying that while he might not have his grade 12 on paper, he had his grade 12 inside of him.
8. What happened to all the money that the boys stole from the bank?

Answer: Lahey made off with it.

Mr. Lahey interrupted the boys' bank robbery by showing up drunk and then threatening to jump off the roof of the bank to kill himself. Julian rescued him, but they lost precious getaway time. The robbery ended in a high speed chase with Lahey driving alongside the boys' van, at first because he wanted to take Randy, who'd been shot, to the hospital, but then he kept driving alongside them to taunt Ricky. Before the police caught up to them, Randy threw the bag of money to Mr. Lahey, who ran off into the woods while the police were busy arresting the others. Ricky, Julian, Bubbles and Randy went to jail, and Mr. Lahey went on a drinking binge in Cuba.
9. What happened at the end of the movie, in regards to Bubbles' cats?

Answer: They were brought to the jail to visit inmates.

Because Bubbles went to jail and hadn't raised the money to get his cats back, they remained at the animal shelter. But Jenny, the girl who worked at the SPCA and who sort of became Bubbles' girlfriend, came up with the idea of bringing the cats to the jail to visit with and cheer up all the inmates. Bubbles was very happy with this, and was also very happy when Jenny agreed to wait for Bubbles to get out of jail to go on a date with him.

In the same scene at the end, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles spoke to the camera crew and asked the crew not to follow them around anymore, thus putting an end to the "Trailer Park Boys" series.
10. During the film's end credits, a clip of a now-famous J-Roc being interviewed on television was shown. What was the name of his album that he was promoting?

Answer: Get My DJ Out of Jail

During the movie, doubts were expressed about J-Roc's ability to ever make it in the rap game. It turned out he did very well for himself and was being interviewed on an "Entertainment Tonight" type show to promote his album that had just come out. He had titled it "Get My DJ Out of Jail" because his partner, Tyrone ("T") had been sentenced to jail time earlier in the movie, for breaking into the SPCA with Bubbles and the boys, in an effort to rescue Bubbles' kitties.
