Close, born on March 19, 1947 in Greenwich, Connecticut, was cast in the main role of Cruella de Vil. Cruella was easily tempered but had a keen sense for fashion since she owned a fashion house in London. Early on in the movie, Cruella expressed frustration when she read a newspaper article that indicated Roger and Anita married. Cruella once went to Roger and Anita's place and told Anita that while she appreciated Anita still worked for her, she disliked that Anita was on leave since she missed their interactions. Cruella hatched a dastardly plot where she abducted Roger and Anita's 15 dalmatian puppies. Near the end of the film, after the puppies escaped from Jasper and Horace's control, Cruella chased after them but was first knocked into a vat of molasses. Close was cast to play characters in the movies "Fatal Attraction", "Air Force One" and "Albert Nobbs".

In 1989, she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her part in "Dangerous Liaisons" but lost to Jodie Foster for "The Accused".

While both Jasper and Horace were at Cruella's place in Sussex, the dogs slipped through their fingers and got away. In one scene, Cruella arrived at her estate and Jasper delivered the news to her that the puppies escaped, which enraged Cruella. Laurie guest starred on the TV shows "The Bill" and "Friends".

Percival had the small role of the police inspector. Near the end of the film, the police inspector was at Roger and Anita's home when he told them that their suspicions were justified since they identified Cruella as the one who kidnapped the dalmatians.

The police inspector assured both Roger and Anita that they were prepared to arrest Cruella once they found her. Roger and Anita were pleased about this news from the police inspector. Daniels, a native of Chelsea, Michigan, got the major part of Roger. Roger designed video games for a living but initially struggled with his business. In one scene, he showed a video game to a young boy named Herbert, who liked it overall but felt the villain was awful.

While he played the game, someone told Roger that Herbert picked the top selling video game every year in the past couple of years. While at the park one day, Roger became upset with Pongo and chased after a dog he thought was Pongo but turned out to be Anita's dalmatian, Perdy.

She had a bag full of bricks and used the bag on Roger. Despite this initial issue, they became friends and decided that evening to marry. At the end of the movie, Roger and Anita were seen at their new home a year after the events of the movie.
