Funeral For a Friend hail from Bridgend, Wales. They formed in 2001 and consist of five members; Kris Coombs-Roberts, Gavin Burrough, Ryan Richards, Darran Smith and Matthew Davis Kreye.

During their set they only had one album released entitled "Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation". After their debut they have released such albums as "Hours", "Tales Don't Tell Themselves" and "Memory and Humanity".

Funeral For a Friend later played Download 2006 on the main stage again. They played just before the 'new' Guns n' Roses.

Chino Moreno was born on the 20th of June, 1973. He was born in Sacramento, California as Camillo Wong Moreno. He is also a member of the band Team Sleep.

Deftones formed in 1988. Deftones played before Marilyn Manson on the main stage. They are known for their albums "Saturday Night Wrist", "White Pony" and "Around the Fur". They consist of members Chino Moreno, Chi Cheng, Stephen Carpenter, Frank Delgado and Abe Cunningham.

Like Funeral For a Friend, they later played on the Friday of Download 2006 before headliners Tool.

HIM formed in Helsinki, Finland in 1991. The band consist of lead singer Ville Valo, Mikko Lindstrom, Mikko Paananen, Janne Puurtinen and Mika Karppinen. They are known for their albums "Razorblade Romance", "Love Metal", "Dark Light" and "Venus Doom".

HIM were the tenth band to hit the second stage. They played before Reef. A were the headliners for the day after their success of their hit single "Nothing".

Marilyn Manson, probably one of the most controversial rock lead singers of all time hit the main stage. He and his band are known for the albums "Mechanical Animals", "Antichrist Superstar" and "The Golden Age of Grotesque".

"Master of Puppets" is actually an album by fellow metal band Metallica.

Iron Maiden formed on Christmas Day 1975. The band consist of six members, Bruce Dickinson, Janick Gers, Steve Harris, Nicko McBrain, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. Iron Maiden have had a mixed line-up, mostly a change of lead singers over the years.

"Pretend We're Dead" is actually a song by all-girl grunge band L7. "Indestructible" and "Inside the Fire" were released on "Indestructible" and "Down With The Sickness" was released off "The Sickness".

Chris Cornell was the lead singer of Audioslave and Soundgarden. Audioslave formed in 2001 but they disbanded in 2007 because of musical differences.
