On the US Billboard Hot 100 chart:
"Just to Be Close to You" peaked at number seven in 1976.

"Easy" peaked at number four in 1977.

"Three Times a Lady" was the number-one hit for two weeks on August 12 in 1978.

"Still" also reached the number one spot in 1979.

"Endless Love", a duet with Diana Ross, reached number one spot in 1981 and ended the year as number two on the chart. The song won the 1982 American Music Award for Favorite Pop song.

"Truly" reached number one spot in 1982.

In 1983, "Running with the Night" peaked at number seven. "All Night Long" reached number one. "You Are" peaked at number four.

In 1984, "Hello" stayed at number one spot for two weeks. "Stuck on You" peaked at number three. "Penny Lover" spent two weeks at number eight in December. "Hello" ended at number seven at the year-end chart.

In 1985, "Say You, Say Me" hit number one in December.

In 1986, "Dancing on the Ceiling" reached number two.

In 1987, "Ballerina Girl", a song written for his daughter Nicole, peaked at number seven.

The other five tracks on this album are "Sail on", "Do it to Me", "Angel", "To Love a Woman" and "Goodbye".
