1. Sally Kellerman
Answer: Actor/Actress
Sally Kellerman was an Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actress. Her most memorable role may have been as the nurse Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the original "M*A*S*H" movie that was released in the US in January, 1970. From the 1970s through the 2010s, Kellerman appeared in a number of movies, television programs, and stage productions. Ms. Kellerman passed away on February 24, 2022.
She was 84 years old and living with dementia when she died of heart failure.
2. Madeline Albright

Madeleine Albright was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1937. When she was eleven years old, her family emigrated to the US after the 1948 communist coup d'état in Czechoslovakia. After becoming a US citizen in 1957, she went on to become an advisor to Democratic politicians.
When Bill Clinton was elected president of the US, she helped to set up the National Security Council. In 1993, she became the US ambassador to the United Nations. She served in that position until 1997 when she became the US Secretary of State, setting a record for the highest ranking woman in US politics at that time. Ms. Albright died on March 23, 2022 from cancer at the age of 84.
3. Taylor Hawkins

Taylor Hawkins was born in Texas in 1972. He was a drummer who appeared with solo rock singers Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette early in his career. Eventually, he joined the Foo Fighters in 1997. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Foo Fighters in October, 2021.
In March, 2022, the Foo Fighters were on tour in Colombia when he complained about chest pains. Despite medical intervention, he passed away in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25, 2022 at the age of 50.
4. Naomi Judd

Naomi Judd was the matriarch of the talented Judd family. She paired up with her daughter Wynonna to form the country music duo the Judds. The pair were very successful, releasing six studio albums and earning nine Country Music Association Awards, seven awards from the Academy of Country Music and five Grammy Awards.
The Judds also performed at the 1994 Super Bowl halftime show. On April 30, 2022, Naomi Judd took her own life. Her daughters reported via Twitter that she had died from the "disease of mental illness". Naomi Judd was 76 at the time of her death.
5. Ray Liotta

Ray Liotta was a screen and television actor who starred or co-starred in many movies. He starred as Shoeless Joe Jackson in "Field of Dreams" with Kevin Costner in 1989. He is also known for portraying Henry Hill in the film Goodfellas (1990) with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. Liotta died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic on May 26, 2022 (he was in the cast of the movie "Dangerous Waters" which was being filmed there).
He was 67 years old at the time of his death.
6. James Caan

James Caan was an actor who passed away in July, 2022 after a heart attack. He had performed in films from 1963 when he was in an uncredited role in "Irma La Douce" through to his final film "Fast Charlie", which was filmed early in 2022 before his passing. Caan is noted for his role as Sonny Corleone in "The Godfather" (1972), the television film "Brian's Song" (1971), and his role as novelist Paul Sheldon in "Misery" (1990). Over the course of his career, Caan performed in over ninety films that were released in theatres, as well as making over twenty-five appearances in television movies and shows.
He was 82 years old when he died.
7. Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96. On September 6, the Queen had hosted Great Britain's newest Prime Minister (PM) at Balmoral Castle where she officially asked the new PM to form a new government. Over the next two days, her health declined until she passed away while surrounded by family on the 8th.
She became Queen in February, 1952. This meant that earlier in 2022, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 70-year reign. She was the UK's longest-serving monarch when she passed away.
8. Shinzo Abe

Shinzo Abe was killed during an assassination in Nara, Japan on July 8, 2022. He was 67 years of age. When he passed away, he was Japan's longest-serving leader. In 2006, he became Japan's youngest Prime Minister at the age of 52. That term lasted only one year, but he did return as Prime Minister from 2012 through 2020. At the time of his assassination, he was making a campaign speech in support of another politician.
9. Nichelle Nichols

Nichelle Nichols appeared as Lt. Uhura in the original "Star Trek" television series. It has been said that she broke colour barriers for Black women with this ongoing role. She started her career as a singer and dancer in Chicago at a young age. She moved to New York early in her career to pursue her enjoyment of singing. It was at this time that she toured the United States, Canada, and Europe as a singer with the Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton bands.
After a time in New York, she moved to Hollywood where she was cast as one of the first Black women on an ongoing TV program. Although there is some debate, some analysts have determined that she and William Shatner (Captain Kirk) shared the first interracial kiss on an ongoing show on television in the Star Trek episode entitled "Plato's Stepchildren" on November 22, 1968. Nichols died of heart failure in July, 2022.
10. Vin Scully

Vin Scully was a baseball broadcaster who passed away at the age of 94 in 2022. At that point, he was the longest-serving broadcaster with a single team in professional sports history. He called games for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers for 67 years.
In 1953, at the age of 25, he became the youngest person to call a World Series game. Scully was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982, the same year that he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2016, then-U.S. president Barack Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
He died at his home on August 2, 2022.
11. Ken Starr

Ken Starr was a former judge and attorney who led the investigation into US president Bill Clinton and allegations of sexual impropriety with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. His report that found that Clinton had lied under oath led to Clinton's impeachment. Clinton was later acquitted by a trial in the Senate. Starr was recruited to assist Donald Trump in his first impeachment trial in 2020.
He died on September 13, 2022 after experiencing complications from surgery. He was 76 years old when he died.
12. Robbie Coltrane

Robbie Coltrane was a Scottish actor who is known for his roles as Dr. Edward "Fitz" Fitzgerald in the 1990s crime show "Cracker", and a Russian crime boss in the James Bond movies "GoldenEye" (1995) and "The World is Not Enough" (1999). He might be most well known for playing the lovable Hagrid in the "Harry Potter" series of movies. Coltrane died of multiple health concerns at the age of 72 on October 14, 2022.
13. Christine McVie

Christine McVie was the keyboardist for the successful pop rock band Fleetwood Mac. She joined the band in 1970. The band was made up of a core group of musicians including Mick Fleetwood, ex-husband John McVie, Stevie Nicks, Mike Campbell, and Neil Finn.
She wrote a number of Fleetwood Mac songs, including the popular "Over My Head" and "Don't Stop". Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. McVie passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 79.
14. Ian Tyson

Ian Tyson was a Canadian folk music icon. He was the recipient of a Juno Award (Canadian equivalent of a Grammy Award) for male country vocalist of the year, a Governor General's Performing Arts Award and the Order of Canada. Together with his former wife Sylvia Fricker, the two released their breakthrough album "Four Strong Winds" in 1964. The song "Four Strong Winds", written by Ian Tyson, was named as the greatest Canadian song of all time by CBC-Radio.
He and Sylvia are inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Ian Tyson also was named to the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Ian Tyson died in December at the age of 89.
15. Donny Gerrard

Donny Gerrard was a Canadian rhythm and blues vocalist. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia where joined a band called Skylark. He was the lead singer in 1972 on their hit "Wildflower". The song lasted 21 weeks on the Billboard charts. After his time with Skylark, Gerrard signed as a solo artist on Elton John's Rocket Record Company and picked up more work as a backup singer to Elton John, Bette Midler, Bob Seger, Neil Diamond and Linda Ronstadt.
He died on February 3, 2022 after a fight with cancer.
