Agnes Nixon (1927-2016) was a television producer and writer. She helped create the soap operas "One Life to Live" (1968-2012), "All My Children" (1970-2011), and "Loving" (1983-1995). She also wrote episodes for other soap operas. Her soap operas helped pushed the boundaries of issues covered in the medium as well as the socioeconomic and ethnic diversity of casts.
2. Cynthia Nixon

Cynthia Nixon (born 1966) may be best known for appearing in the HBO television series "Sex and the City" (1998-2004), based on the 1997 Candace Bushnell book. She has also appeared in several films including "Amadeus" (1984) and "A Quiet Passion" (2016). In 2018 she ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination for Governor of New York.

Otis Nixon (born 1959) is a former Major League Baseball player who played for nine different teams (including the Atlanta Braves twice) between 1983 and 1999. With a .270 lifetime batting average and 11 home runs, his most impressive statistic is probably his 620 career stolen bases.
He primarily played center field. His 72 stolen bases in 1991 holds the record for an Atlanta Braves player in a single season. His six stolen bases in one game on June 16, 1991 is the Major League record.
10. William Penn Nixon

William Penn Nixon (1832-1912) was a publisher. He served two terms in the Ohio House of Representatives in the 1860s. He co-founded the newspaper "The Cincinnati Daily Chronicle" and later merged it with "The Cincinnati Evening Times". he later worked with papers in Chicago, IL. A long-time newspaper publisher, he served for several years as the president of the Associated Press.
