According to Scripture, Jesus raised three people from the dead, not two. The three people are the widow's son at Nain (Luke 7:11-16), Jairus' twelve-year-old daughter (Mark 5:21-42) and Lazarus (John 11:1-44).

Matthew 1:23 makes reference to Jesus being called Immanuel, which means 'God with us'. The verse is linked with Isaiah 7:14 which states Immanuel would be born of a virgin. Many Christians believe this is a direct reference to the Virgin Mary giving birth to Jesus. Immanuel is also spelled as Emmanuel in some versions of the Bible. The name Immanuel can be found only in Isaiah in the Old Testament and Matthew in the New Testament.

In John 20:28, the disciple Thomas called Jesus "my Lord and God" when he saw Christ after the resurrection and put his finger in the wounds in His hands and his hand in the wound on His side.

The resurrection of Jesus is documented in Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24 and John 20 and 21 as well as in Acts 9 when Saul, later known as Paul, encountered Him on the road to Damascus. According to Scripture, He rose from the dead three days after the crucifixion, just like He had predicted.

Answer: He was struck dead after he lied to John.

Ananias was married to Sapphira and they were both struck dead after they withheld money from the early church, as per Acts 5:1-11. Scripture states they both claimed they had turned all the proceeds from the sale of their property over to the early church when they had actually kept some of the money.

However, they were struck dead after they lied to Peter, not John. According to Scripture, Ananias was struck dead first and then three hours later, Sapphira died when she told the same lie to Peter.

(Bear in mind there are two other men in the book of Acts who are also called Ananias.)

Answer: She was with John when he baptized Jesus.

Yes, Elizabeth was the mother of John the Baptist, she was a descendant of Aaron and her husband was Zecharias, as per Luke 1:5. (Her husband's name is spelled Zecharias in the NKJV and Zechariah in the NIV.) According to Luke 1:36, Elizabeth was a relative of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

However, there is no account in Scripture about Elizabeth being with her son when he baptized Jesus in the Jordan River.

Answer: He had sympathy for Paul and set him free from prison.

According to Acts 24:24 and 27, Felix was married to Drusila and when he died he was replaced as Roman governor by Festus.

The 24th chapter of Acts is devoted to the trial of Paul before Felix with charges against him levied by the high priest Ananias. Arguing the case on behalf of Ananias and some of the elders was a lawyer named Tertullus.

Felix, however, had little sympathy for Paul being imprisoned. Acts 24:26 states: "Meanwhile he also hoped that money would be given him by Paul, that he might release him. Therefore he sent for him more often and conversed with him."

With no bribe money coming his way, Scripture states Felix, "wanting to do the Jews a favor", left Paul bound for two years.

Answer: He went on a missionary journey with Silas.

There is no account in Scripture about Matthias even meeting Silas, let alone going on a missionary journey with him.

According to Acts 1:15-26, Mathias was selected over "Joseph, called Barsabas, surnamed Justus," to replace Judas Iscariot, who had committed suicide. Here's how Acts 15:21-26, in the NKJV, explains things, with the quote at the beginning attributed to Peter: "'Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.' And they proposed two: Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed and said, 'You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.' And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles."

This is the only time Matthias is mentioned in Scripture.

Answer: He became the chief pastor for Malta.

According to Acts 28:1-10, in the NKJV, Publius was a "leading official" of Malta who showed hospitality to Paul. (In the NIV, Publius is described as the "chief official" of Malta.) Luke, the writer of Acts, is short on details, but writes Publius welcomed them into his home "and entertained us courteously for three days." According to Acts 28:8, Publius' father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Scripture states Paul went to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.

However, there is no account in Scripture about Publius becoming the chief pastor for Malta. Yes, it is possible. But going by what Scripture says, the correct answer has to be 'He became the chief pastor for Malta'.

Answer: He assisted in the burial of Jesus after the crucifixion.

According to Scripture, Simon relieved Jesus in carrying the cross to His crucifixion. (Matthew 27:32, Mark 15:21 and Luke 23:26)

Little is known about Simon, but Mark 15:21 states he was the father of Alexander and Rufus. According to the "International Standard Bible Encyclopedia", Cyrene was a city of Libya in North Africa. It was separated from ancient Egypt by a portion of the Libyan desert. He is the first person from Africa to appear in the New Testament.

There is no account of him assisting in the burial of Jesus after the crucifixion.

Answer: Paul mentions him in Galatians and Ephesians.

Tertius is only mentioned in Romans 16:22, and it appears he interjected his name in Paul's letter to the Romans.

Romans 16:22, states "I, Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord." There is no further mention of him in Scripture. According to Biblos, a website that serves as a Bible encyclopedia, some theologians suspect Tertius was a friend of Silas while others believe he was a Roman Christian living in Corinth. It's all speculation, of course.

The correct answer, in this case, is 'Paul mentions him in Galatians and Ephesians'.

Answer: He was raised from the dead by Peter who was with Paul at the time.

Eutychus was indeed raised from the dead after he fell out of a third storey window in Troas while Paul preached on and on, as per Acts 20:7-12. However, it was Paul, not Peter, who raised Eutychus from the dead, according to the passage.

For the record, Peter raised Tabitha, also known as Dorcas, from the dead, as per Acts 9:36-43.

Answer: He said there are various ways "to come to the Father."

The four Gospels are filled with accounts of the miracles Jesus performed. And there is no doubt Jesus infuriated the Pharisees and the Sadducees (the equivalent of the church leaders of the day) with His teachings. They were extremely indignant with Him for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was His association with tax collectors and sinners, or the lowest class of people. Instances of their anger with Jesus can be found throughout the four Gospels.

Another reason the Pharisees and the Sadducees were upset with Jesus was that He claimed He was the Son of God and the way to the Father was through Him. Many people today might be upset with His teachings and disagree with them, but the bottom line is nowhere in the Bible does Jesus say there are various ways to get to Heaven.

In John 14:6, in the NKJV, for example, He states: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." He made the statement to the disciples just after stating in John 14:1-4 He was going to His Father's house to prepare a place for them. The passage states: "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."

As a result, the correct answer has to be "He said there are various ways 'to come to the Father'".
