The Eagles frequently utilized Hurts in short yardage situations to run up the middle to score touchdowns or get first downs.

On the opening drive of the game for the Chiefs, Travis Kelce had a 20-yard reception for a first down and an 18-yard reception for a touchdown. In the 2022-23 regular season, Kelce racked up 1,338 receiving yards and eclipsed 10,000 career receiving yards, both exceptional numbers for a tight end.

Harrison Butker's first field goal attempt of Super Bowl LVII was a miss from 42 yards that hit the left upright. The 2022-23 season was the first for A.J. Brown as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Brown had a stellar regular season with 88 catches, 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns. On the first play of the second quarter of Super Bowl LVII, A.J. Brown ran a deep post route and then adjusted toward the sideline to catch a 45-yard pass from Jalen Hurts for a touchdown.

On the play Jalen Hurts scrambled to his right and then lost control of the football without anyone even touching him. Nick Bolton was then able to easily recover the fumble and rumble 36 yards for a touchdown. Harrison Butker then made an extra point to tie the game.

The score going into halftime of Super Bowl LVII was Philadelphia ahead 24-14. On their last two drives, Philadelphia scored a 4-yard touchdown on a Jalen Hurts run and Jake Elliot made a 35-yard field goal. The Eagles dominated the first half controlling the time of possession and limited the Chiefs to just one offensive score.

Isiah Pacheco was born in Vineland, NJ in 1999 and he played college football at Rutgers. Pacheco was drafted in the 7th round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Pacheco excelled as a member of the Chiefs as he became the team's leading running back and eclipsed more than 1,000 yards rushing (regular and postseason combined) on just 207 carries. Pacheco was the leading rusher in Super Bowl LVII with 76 yards on 15 carries including the 1-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Kadarius Toney was born in 1999 and the 2022-23 season was his first with the Kansas City Chiefs. On two different plays during the fourth quarter, the Kansas City Chiefs used pre-snap motion to fool the Eagles defense. One of those plays left Toney wide open for a 5-yard touchdown. Toney also set the record for the longest punt return in Super Bowl history with his 65-yarder in the fourth quarter.

Patrick Mahomes capped off a memorable 2022-23 season by leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a victory in Super Bowl LVII. Although he threw for just 182 yards, Mahomes did not have any turnovers and he had three touchdown passes and 44 yards rushing. Mahomes was voted as the MVP of Super Bowl LVII. Incredibly at the age of 27, Patrick Mahomes had already won two Super Bowls, been regular season and Super Bowl MVP twice and thrown for over 28,000 yards (regular season and postseason combined).

The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII over the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35. In a losing effort, Jalen Hurts had 304 yards passing, 70 yards rushing and tied a Super Bowl record with 20 points (three rushing touchdowns and a 2-point rushing conversion).
