1. Where were the three matches of the series played?

Answer: Lord's, Old Trafford and Trent Bridge.

The first test was played at Lord's from 15-19 May.

The second test was played at Old Trafford from 23-26 May.

The third test was played at Trent Bridge from 5-8 June.

All three matches were scheduled for five days, but the last two both finished on the fourth day.
2. Two centuries were scored in the first test. Who scored them?

Answer: Jacob Oram and Michael Vaughan.

Michael Vaughan scored 106 off 214 balls in England's first (and only) innings before being caught by James Marshall.

Jacob Oram scored 101 off 121 balls in the second innings before being bowled by Ryan Sidebottom.

Brendon McCullum scored 97 in the first innings before being bowled by Monty Panesar just short of his century.

Alistair Cook and Andrew Strauss both managed half-centuries, scoring 61 and 63 respectively.
