McNeil played from 1981-1992 in the Jets' backfield. He topped the 1000-yard season plateau in 1984 and 1985, two of his three Pro Bowl selections. He retired with 38 rushing and 12 receiving touchdowns.

From 1982-1988, Karlis made 655 points with his foot as a Denver Bronco. He played out his final two seasons with the Vikings and Lions, and retired in 1990.
