Jane had started to fall for her lawyer, Robert, and they opened up this episode with a kiss. She told him how she loved being with him at 8 a.m. in the morning and that she had a great time with him last night. Robert asked Jane if they could spend some time together that day but she said no since she had a lot of work to do.

After Jane got done talking to Robert, she went to her apartment and heard the loud music that Sydney was playing. Sydney commented on Jane being with her handsome attorney again as Jane walked over and shut the stereo off. Jane told Sydney she was going to work in ten minutes and that she wanted Sydney packed and out of her apartment by the time she got back.

Allison went to go talk to Amanda at D&D Advertising and Amanda asked her if she had heard of a company called Microcomp. Allison asked if they were involved in computers so Amanda said they specifically dealt with computer hardware systems and mentioned they were now successful in Silicon Valley. Amanda handed Allison a folder that contained information about Microcomp.

Matt paid his friend, Katya, a visit and so he went to her apartment and Nikki greeted him at the door. Matt asked Nikki if she sad due to her mother packing up their stuff and preparing to move back to Russia so Nikki said she was sad since all her friends had to say goodbye to her. Nikki asked him if he was there to say his goodbyes but, before Matt could answer, Katya came out to talk to him. Katya told him how she was not quite sure she would see him again but was relieved she did.

In a previous episode, Matt and Katya discussed getting married so that Katya could stay in the country and it was in this episode they both agreed to get hitched for that reason.

After Matt and Katya agreed to tie the knot, Matt decided to tell Michael about it so Michael congratulated him on what he called "taking the plunge." Michael was also giggling about it and he apologized to Matt due to the irony of the situation but then said that Matt had his blessing. Michael then informed Matt how he should not go to him for marital advice since he was not the best person to give it.

Since Jane told Sydney she was to leave the apartment, Sydney decided she would talk to Amanda about leasing an apartment at the complex. Jane stepped out of her apartment one day and noticed Amanda giving Sydney some keys to her new apartment and then Jake helped moved some furniture into the apartment. Jane told Amanda that Sydney did not have any money or a job but Sydney spoke about a job offer she was supposed to get so therefore she could afford the rent.

Stevenson, born on June 4th, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania guest starred as Steve McMillan in this episode. Allison went to go visit Steve and discuss business with him. Stevenson portrayed Steve for a total of six episodes. He has also guest starred on the TV shows, "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", "Murder, She Wrote" and "Matlock."

Allison got done speaking to Steve McMillan and, as she was driving away from his ranch, the car started to accelerate so she braked but the brakes were not working. She crashed into a gate and got out to inspect the car to see if there was any serious damage. Allison slammed her car door shut and walked back to Steve's ranch to use a phone and call for help.

Midway through the episode, Matt and Katya were seen at a courthouse getting read to marry before a judge. It seemed to be taking a long time for them to be seen so Katya told Matt to wait with Nikki while she went to ask about when they would be seen by a judge to be married. Nikki asked Matt if she loved her mom and Matt responded that he did love her but as a friend.
