Michael was seen in the opening scene to this episode. When we first saw Michael, he was taking some painkillers to help ease the pain he still had from the car accident a couple of months ago. However, Michael soon got addicted to the painkillers and this affected his relationship with Jane. Eventually, Michael kicked his addiction.

Michael decided to make a phone call, to Jane, to see if they could make amends. Jane answered the phone and was disappointed and annoyed to hear that it was Michael bothering her yet again. Jane told Michael that, if he did not quit harassing her, she would file a restraining order against him. Michael thought she was kidding, about the restraining order, but Jane informed Michael she was serious.

Jo went to Reed's boat to spend some time with him and she brought a bag with her. Jo noticed that Reed had a sad look on his face and she said she recognized it as a dog ate my homework kind of look. Reed told Jo that he had to focus on business and that their scheduled trip, to Catalina Island, would have to be postponed.

In Billy's first scene, in this episode, he was in the pool and Jake came up to talk to him. Billy got out of the pool and told Jake that he got a job offer in New York. Billy planned to go to New York since he loved the idea of being promoted to a high position at a major business. The business that offered Billy the job only gave him a couple of days to make the move.

Michael went to work, at Wilshire Memorial Hospital, and a police officer called his name. Michael turned around and the police officer handed him a summons. The summons was for a court hearing to determine if Jane had grounds for a protective order against Michael. Michael laughed off the summons but it was no laughing matter when a judge granted Jane her request for a protective order.

Billy informed Allison, of his job offer, and he told her the new job would be in New York City. Billy asked Allison if she would come with him and Allison did not want to leave Los Angeles. Eventually, Billy declined the job and remained in Los Angeles.

Sydney went to Michael's beach house, one day, since he moved back in there once Jane kicked him out of her apartment. She looked, under his bed sheets, and noticed that his prescription bottle, for painkillers, was empty. Sydney continued to snoop around and noticed another empty bottle. Sydney told Michael that he had to stop taking so many pills but he ignored her.

Reed wanted to celebrate the opening of his new fishing charter business so he threw a party on his boat, one night. He invited Jo, Amanda, and Jake to the party since they helped him launch the business (Jake was reluctant to do this, at first, but decided to help Reed). Jake escorted Amanda, to the party, and they shared a dance on the boat.

Michael went to Jane's apartment, one night, and she phoned the police and told them that Michael was violating the restraining order she had on him. Sydney heard Michael pounding, on Jane's door, and went to see him. She told Michael to come to her apartment so he would not be arrested.

By the time the police officers came to arrest Michael, he was in Sydney's apartment and they could not find him.

Sydney went to see Michael, at his beach house, and she could not find him in his living room or his bedroom. She went into the bathroom and noticed that Michael was lying unconscious. She tried to revive Michael but it was of no use. She dialed 911 and had the dispatcher send an ambulance down to get Michael to the hospital. Michael did not suffer any harmful effects from being unconscious in this episode of "Melrose Place."
