In the opening scene, Michael and Jane were at Jane's apartment and Michael was on crutches, fixing breakfast. Michael had been on crutches since he had just been in a car accident. The accident also involved Kimberly and she was in critical condition. Kimberly's mother had her body moved back home, to Ohio, and she then had Kimberly declared dead in hopes that Michael would stay out of her life.

Amanda had removed Allison from a client's account since she felt Allison behaved unprofessionally with trying to get with the client romantically. Bruce spoke to Amanda, privately, and told her that he would be placing Allison back in charge of the account and Amanda hoped Allison would not screw anything up again. Allison went home, to Billy, and told him that he should have seen how disappointed Amanda looked when Bruce put her back in charge of the account.

For several months, Jane dated Robert Wilson, the attorney that handled her divorce from Michael. In this episode of "Melrose Place", Robert and Jane were still dating. Michael and Sydney came up with a scheme to break them up. Sydney hired a woman to get Robert into bed and Michael and Sydney would videotape Robert cheating on Jane with the woman. Jane saw the videotape and broke up with Robert.

Amanda started to flirt with Jake but he stopped her and told her he did not buy how, one minute, she threatened to evict him and, the next minute, she wanted to sleep with him. Amanda asked Jake if they could start over and Jake told her he would give it some thought. Eventually, Amanda realized that her father did, indeed, commit fraud and she apologized to Jake for blaming him for her father's legal troubles.

While Jane's boyfriend, Robert, was down in San Diego on business, he met a woman at a restaurant and she introduced herself to Robert as Diane Adamson. Diane did not tell Robert that she had been hired, by Sydney and Michael, to get him into bed so their sexual romp could be videotaped and the tape be viewed by Jane. Famke Janssen portrayed Diane Adamson in this guest starring stint on "Melrose Place." Janssen went on to have roles in the films, "The Faculty", "Goldeneye", and "X-Men."

She then heard a knock at her door and Robert was there so Jane opened it to let him into her apartment. Jane and Robert made love and it was after the lovemaking that she viewed the tape and kicked Robert out of her apartment...and her life.
