2. Jacob interacts with the members of the Oceanic Six at various points in their pasts. Whom does Jacob assist, after a foiled attempt to shoplift a lunch box?

Answer: Kate

Kate and her childhood beau, Tom, enter a convenience store. Kate has decided to try to steal a lunch box. It's a "New Kids on the Block," lunch box. Kate is apprehended at the door by the shop owner. Jacob, however, intercedes, offering to pay for the lunch box.

The shop owner agrees and accepts the money. Jacob then instructs Katie, as she is goes by then, not to steal anymore. Jacob departs with these words, "Be good, Katie."
3. Eloise, Richard, Jack and Sayid are gathered together in the proximity of the twenty-ton hydrogen bomb. Sayid is meticulously following the instructions in the journal left by Daniel. To which DHARMA Initiative station must they transport the bomb?

Answer: Swan

Sayid and Jack discuss the instructions left by Daniel, both written and verbal. Sayid indicates that they must first remove the plutonium core of the bomb and transport it to the "pocket of energy," which is located at the Swan Station. Sayid further states that they have approximately two hours in which to get the core to the station, according to Daniel's timetable. Jack says, "Well then, we better get moving."
4. Ilana, Bram and some crew members have paddled ashore with Frank Lapidus in tow. Bram wants to know why they have dragged Frank along with them. Ilana suggests that Frank might be a good candidate for their cause. They decide to show Frank what is in the container that they have been carrying along. What does Frank say upon seeing the contents?

Answer: "Terrific."

Bram is notably ambivalent about the acquisition of Frank. Ilana however, decides to take Frank into their confidence. She reveals the contents of the crate. Frank peers into the crate, grimaces slightly and then soberly states, "Terrific."
5. James Ford, who is attending the funeral of his parents is composing his letter of revenge to the original Sawyer. James' uncle interrupts the composition and gravely lectures James about the folly of revenge. He urges James to forget about the past and move on. What recurring phrase does he use?

Answer: "What's done is done."

James is composing his letter to the genuine Sawyer, when his pen runs out of ink. Jacob arrives to supply James with a new pen, making it a point to touch his hand, while doing so. After imploring James to secede from these thoughts of revenge, he tells James, "What's done is done." In James' confrontation with Jack, in an attempt to prevent Jack from detonating the bomb, James uses the same phrase.
6. Locke, or other-Locke, under the guidance of Richard, is leading his followers to a meeting with Jacob. He pulls Ben aside and asks Ben, "Why haven't you told him yet?" Locke is referring to Richard. Ben reluctantly confides that he must obey everything that Locke commands. What is it that Locke demands of Ben?

Answer: Ben must kill Jacob

Ben confesses that, in a vision, his daughter appeared, via the smoke monster, and she said that Ben would be destroyed if Ben did not obey everything that Locke said. Locke appears somewhat surprised, yet relieved. He tells Ben that now, he won't have to convince Ben to do anything. Ben says, "Convince me to do what?" Locke says, "I'm not gonna kill Jacob. You are." Locke emphasizes his statement with a somewhat sinister look, turns and walks away.
7. Sayid has finished removing the plutonium core from Jughead. Richard creates an entrance into an adjacent DHARMA room by pounding through the wall with a sledgehammer. Jack says that he will take the lead. Eloise objects, stating that she is still in charge. Does Eloise proceed first?

Answer: No

Richard appears to assent and steps behind Eloise to let her pass through the newly created entrance. However, as Eloise steps forward, Richard renders her unconscious. He tells Jack that he is protecting her and that they must proceed without further assistance from himself or Eloise.
8. Sawyer, Juliet and Kate, primarily through Kate's influence, leave the submarine and paddle back to the island. The idea is to prevent Jack from completing his plan to detonate the bomb. Whom do they first meet upon their return to the island?

Answer: Vincent

Sawyer, Juliet and Kate arrive on the beach. They hear the sound of a dog barking. Suddenly, Vincent, Walt's Labrador retriever, runs to greet Sawyer. Not far behind, are Rose and Bernard. They have adapted quite nicely to their situation and are fully content to continue their lifestyle, as long as they are together.
9. Jacob visits Ilana, who is lying in a hospital bed. She appears to have suffered severe injuries. Jacob requests her help. On the island, Ilana leads her group to Jacob's cabin. What does Ilana find in the cabin?

Answer: She finds a piece of cloth bearing a picture of the statue.

Ilana and her party arrive at Jacob's cabin. Bram notices that the ash encircling the cabin has been disturbed. Ilana cautiously enters the cabin. She looks around and observes a piece of cloth pinned to the wall with a knife. After she leaves the cabin, she tells Bram that someone else has been using the cabin.

She shows the piece of cloth to Bram. It is an embroidery of the full statue. Bram says, "I guess we know where we're going." They head off in the direction of the statue.
10. Jack is in the middle of a very difficult operation. It's his first major procedure. Jack has made a grave error in severing the dural sac, which surrounds the spinal cord. Jack is understandably upset. After the operation and adding insult to injury, the vending machine fails to work. What is Jack trying to buy?

Answer: an Apollo Bar

One of the foods found in the Swan station that doesn't bear the DHARMA brand is the wonderfully delicious Apollo Bar. Jack is somewhat upset after having been embarrassed by his father during the operation. Further, his Apollo Bar gets stuck in the vending machine.

A few moments later, Jacob appears and offers the retrieved Apollo Bar to Jack. Jacob says, "I guess it just needed a little push," in referring to the vending machine and perhaps a metaphor for another area in Jack's life.
11. Jack, Hurley, Sayid and Miles are on the way to their destination with the core of Jughead. They are intercepted by Juliet, Kate and Sawyer, who are brandishing weapons and blocking the path. Sawyer demands a conversation with Jack. The conversation begins smoothly and frankly, but turns violent. Sawyer is pulverizing Jack. Juliet intercedes. Why has Juliet halted the attack?

Answer: Juliet says that she has changed her mind about stopping Jack.

Sawyer is justifiably incensed that Jack has unilaterally decided to alter their fate, as it were. He and Jack begin an altercation. Sawyer gains the upper hand, and begins to pummel Jack. When Juliet demands that Sawyer stop, Sawyer is nonplussed and wants to know why. Juliet cites Sawyer's longing look at Kate and determines that a relationship between them cannot take place. "I changed my mind when I saw you look at her." Unfortunately, Juliet cannot bear the thought of a broken relationship, reminiscent of her own parent's divorce.

She says, "If I never meet you, then I never have to leave you."
12. Hurley has been released from prison. The guard returns Hurley's belongings. Hurley entreats upon the guard to not release him, as there are dangerous men waiting to force him to return to the island. The guard impassively replies that there is a cab stand right out front. Hurley gets in the cab only to see Jacob waiting for Hurley. What does Jacob want from Hurley?

Answer: Jacob wants to know why Hurley won't return to the island.

Hurley believes that Jacob has just been released from prison, but Jacob has apparently planned this rendezvous with Hurley. Hurley enters the cab and begins a conversation with Jacob by offering him some of his Fruit Rollup. Jacob declines and lets Hurley initiate conversation. Hurley wants to know why Jacob was sitting in a cab in front of the prison. Jacob says that he was waiting for Hurley. Curious, Hurley wants to know what Jacob wants. Jacob replies, "I wanna know why you won't go back to the island." Hurley explains his situation. Later, he wants to know, "Who are you, dude?" Jacob deflects the question. Jacob implicitly convinces Hurley to return to the island.

As he departs, Hurley tells Jacob about the guitar. Jacob says it's not his guitar.
13. Richard, Locke, Ben and the rest of the entourage have arrived at their destination. Richard implores Locke to wait for Jacob to come to Locke. Locke insists that he is tired of waiting and demands and immediate audience. Richard notes that Ben is coming along and he strenuously objects. What is the objection?

Answer: Only one leader at a time may have an audience with Jacob.

As Richard wends his way up the stairs, he observes Ben coming as well. He abruptly states "What are you doing?" Ben, with some resignation, says "He wants me to join him." Richard states the rules and Locke replies "I just think that you make up these rules as you go along, Richard." Locke further says that if it is a problem, he will work it out with Jacob. Richard reluctantly relents and proceeds to open the secret door. Richard successfully opens the door, and says, "Tell him I said hello."
14. Sun is sitting alone. Richard approaches and offers her some water. She declines and says, "Do you have any alcohol?" Richard replies, "No, sure wish I did." Ilana and her party arrive. She makes a request for Ricardus. Richard answers and supplies the correct answer to the question, "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" Ilana then shows Richard the contents of the crate. What is in it?

Answer: It is the actual corpse of John Locke.

Richard has supplied the correct answer, in Latin. Ilana is satisfied. She tells Richard, "I have something you need to see." Ilana instructs her team to open the crate. Alarmed, Richard's team of Others are readying their weapons. Richard tells them that it is o.k. "Let them." Frank looks on, already knowing of the contents.

As the camera pans around, the visage of the deceased John Locke is revealed. Richard exclaims, "Where did you find him?" Ilana replies that it was on the cargo hold of the plane. Sun asks the question that everyone wants to know, "If this is Locke, who's in there?" Having entered the home of Jacob, Ben and Locke encounter Jacob. Even though Jacob asserts that Ben has a choice, Ben has been swayed by the entity inhabiting Locke's body. Ben in anger, stabs Jacob.

The other entity pushes Jacob's body into the flame with a truly sinister visage.
15. Jack's plan to detonate the bomb appears to have failed. An electromagnetic anomaly has begun. In a moment of utmost tragedy, Juliet is pulled into the vortex of the magnetic storm, down into the shaft, despite the efforts of Sawyer to cling onto her life. All appears to have been for naught. However, at the bottom of the shaft, Juliet has a vestige of life remaining. Does it appear that she manages to detonate the bomb?

Answer: Yes

Nothing happened as everyone waited for the detonation. Unbelievably, Juliet survived the plummet to the bottom of the shaft. Sawyer remarks that they are not at LAX. The bomb has not detonated on its impact onto the somewhat soft surface. Juliet, on the verge of death, strikes the bomb with a rock.

In despair and anger, she continues to punch the bomb with the rock. In the final scene, there is a brilliant flash of bright light, indicating that Juliet has managed to detonate the bomb.
