Although Pete assumes they wouldn't necessarily know who Flower is, the basement ghosts reveal that she visited them frequently and after initially bonding over communal living and open wounds she eventually became their friend. Alberta then invites them to attend the memorial the upstairs ghosts - along with Sam and Jay - are planning to hold to remember Flower.

Answer: Sasappis

Ever since season 1, we know that Sasappis is a big fan of pizza (well the smell of it at least!), having frequently asked for it to be cooked or ordered across multiple episodes. He first asks Jay if he'd consider purchasing a pizza oven but after Jay says that it just won't fit into the restaurant's kitchen, Sasappis uses his ghost power to enter Jay's dream and manipulate him into changing his mind.

Answer: Artist

After discovering that Hetty had posed with an exposed ankle for a painting, her father forbids her from seeing the artist again or else she'll be cut off from his fortune. Hetty chooses money over love and although she adored being rich, she realises in hindsight that she was ultimately poorer for this decision because she was never truly happy in her marriage.

Answer: Donut holes

On the morning of Pete's death, he and Carol had been fighting over the latter's penchant for donut holes (despite not liking actual ring-shaped donuts) so it's a clever callback by the show's writing staff to have the same fried treat be the cause of her demise. Carol doesn't realise that she's become the latest Woodstone Estate ghost and continues talking with guests at the Halloween party - although does admit to Sam that she's doing all of the heavy lifting in the conversation.

Answer: Butterscotch candy

Since Carol died whilst carrying her purse, the ghosts can interact with everything within it. All four of the options were within the purse, but Sasappis and Hetty are particularly interested in the butterscotch candy, figuring that they might even be able to suck on it (and presumably taste it) as long as Carol continued to touch it.

Answer: Dinosaurs once roamed Earth

Upon departure from Woodstone B&B, a family leaves behind a stuffed toy dinosaur and a dinosaur-themed pop-up book from the Natural History Museum. In response, Isaac comments that a museum "trafficking in fantastical creations" is demonstrative of how far humankind has fallen and Jay confirms that it wasn't until the 1800s that dinosaur fossils were discovered.

In Isaac's time, it's therefore completely feasible that they were considered a myth. Isaac is shocked but fascinated and his preoccupation with dinosaurs remains for the rest of the season.

Answer: Jenkins

During Nigel's party, Trevor declares that a bachelor party should involve lap dances and so Nigel's fellow soldier and ex-boyfriend Jenkins offers to give it a try. Nigel seems to enjoy it and when Isaac asks him about it later, he claims that it was "innocent" and "just a bit of stag do fun".

He then encourages Isaac to have a lap dance at his own bachelor's party - something that Isaac initially balks at but then thoroughly enjoys - especially after the hired stripper reveals his extensive knowledge of dinosaurs.

Answer: A Puritan named Patience

Because the sides of holes are essentially walls, ghosts go right through them making it impossible to climb up the sides to get out. After a year of being stuck in the hole, Sasappis, Thorfinn, Isaac, and Patience held hands and blindly walked through the dirt until they finally found Woodstone's basement.

Unfortunately, Isaac had to sneeze during this trek and let go of Patience's hand to cover his mouth. The two of them couldn't reconnect meaning Patience was left behind.

Answer: Toasted marshmallow

After Pete discovers that he can cross the Woodstone Estate boundary line, he's strong-armed into accompanying Jay while he runs some errands. He unfortunately gets left behind at the department store and, after finding his way back to the estate, he's furious with everyone and refuses to tell them what happened. To try and get him to talk to the group again, Jay toasts a marshmallow over the stove and the 'scent trap' works in luring the Scout leader to the kitchen with Pete saying that "turning down a gooey marshmallow sniff isn't helping anybody".

Answer: Nancy

By the beginning of this episode, Thorfinn, Flower, and Nancy are a throuple and can't agree on where to sit at the wedding. Upon asking Nigel for his opinion, he apologetically advises that no basement ghosts (including Nancy) are invited to attend.

Carol, who had relocated to the basement in the previous episode was invited because she'd since relocated to the shed to reside with her new lover, Nigel's countryman Baxter.
