Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the opening of the second part, a life is to be saved and Sawyer prepares to bury Juliet. Miles notes Hurley taking along the guitar and carelessly asks, "We gonna sing "Kumbaya" along the way?" How does Hurley respond?

Answer: "It's not a guitar, man."

As is his wont, Miles is sarcastic as usual. He is really interested in what Hurley carries in the guitar case. In reply, Hurley simply stares at Miles in a defiant way.
2. Back at the airport, it seems that Jack's precious cargo has been mishandled. Jack wants to know what has happened to his freight. What does the airport manager say to Jack?

Answer: "We're not exactly sure where it is."

The airline employee, clearly flustered, tells Jack that they have no idea where the coffin is. It seems that it was never loaded upon the plane. Later, in the airport, Jack has a conversation with John. John asks, "What did you lose?" Jack replies, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." The conversation transcends into more of a philosophical discussion.

As John prepares to leave, Jack inquires as to what happened to John. John insists that his condition is irreversible. Jack promptly replies, "Nothing is irreversible."
3. Closely guarded by the U.S. Marshall, Kate manages to pry herself from his clutches for some time. How does she manage to do this?

Answer: Kate begs to go to the bathroom where she extricates herself.

Employing her charms, Kate is allowed to go to the bathroom, where she manages to release herself from her manacles. Using subterfuge and wit, she overpowers the marshal and escapes. In the elevator, she meets none other than Sawyer who says, "Welcome aboard." Sawyer senses Kate's plight and allows her to leave the elevator first.
4. Accompanied by Miles, Sawyer finishes burying Juliet. Sawyer has requested that Miles come along specifically for his spiritual abilities. Sawyer compels Miles to communicate with Juliet. According to Miles, what did Juliet want to tell Sawyer?

Answer: "It worked."

With a great deal of reluctance, Miles agrees to perform his spiritual ritual upon Juliet. Finally, he tells Sawyer, "It worked. That's what she wanted to tell you. It worked." Sawyer is puzzled and wonders, "What worked?" Clearly unsatisfied, Sawyer walks away.
5. Hurley and his party have been captured by the Others at the temple. The leader, speaking through an interpreter, gives instructions for Hurley and his party to be shot. Hurley blurts out, "Jacob sent us." The leader demands proof. What proof does Hurley offer?

Answer: Hurley asks the leader to look inside the guitar case.

Hurley asks the leader of these people to examine the contents of the guitar case. Upon opening the case, Jacob's Ankh cross is revealed. The leader suddenly breaks the cross in half and extracts a scroll. The leader thereupon demands to know the names of the party. Apparently satisfied, the leader begins to enter the temple. Frantically, Hurley demands to know what has been written on the scroll.

The leader's interpreter says, "That paper says that if your friend over there dies, we're all in a lot of trouble."
6. The people at the temple transport Sayid to a place within it where a healing spring lies. There appears to be something not quite right about the waters of the spring. Are the attempts to resurrect Sayid immediately successful?

Answer: No

Before Sayid's body is immersed in the swirling waters of the spring, the interpreter warns that there are risks involved in the procedure. Not really knowing exactly what is going on, Jack replies, "Do what you have to do." Being held underwater, Sayid begins to thrash around. Jack protests that they are holding Sayid underwater for too long of a period. Ultimately, Sayid's apparently lifeless body is brought to the surface.

The temple leader proclaims through his interpreter that, "Your friend is dead."
7. Kate is deftly making her way through the airport in an attempt to escape from the marshall. Her first attempt to grab a taxi is thwarted by Neil, who tells her, "There's a line!" Having been spotted by the marshall, Kate jumps into an occupied taxi. Who is the other passenger?

Answer: Claire

Kate has been very fortunate to have made it outside of the terminal to the taxi stand. Neil (Frogurt) denies Kate entry into the first cab. Suddenly, Kate is spotted by the marshall who begins pursuit. Kate gets into the nearest cab. The driver says, "Hey, I already have a customer." Kate points her gun at the driver and says, "I said go!" Claire is already sitting in the passenger seat.

She asks Kate, "What are you doing?"
8. Hurley is brought before the leader of the temple folks. Through the interpreter, the leader wants to know what Jacob has told Hurley. Suddenly, Hurley notices something peculiar about the language interchange. Can the leader, in fact, speak English?

Answer: Yes

Hurley astutely notices that the leader doesn't require an interpretation from Hurley. Hurley says, "Wait a sec. You're not translating anything I say to him, which means you totally understand me dude." The leader indignantly replies, "I don't like the way English tastes on my tongue."
9. Inside the statue, the John impersonate is cleaning up the array of bodies. A pitiable Ben laments his fate at being a helpless pawn in the scheme to destroy Jacob. After the John impersonate regales Ben with the tale of the true John, Ben is supremely curious and asks, "What do you want?" What is the reply?

Answer: "I want to go home."

The impersonate of John Locke appears to derive a great deal of pleasure in recounting the tragic demise of the true John Locke. He tells Ben that John Locke was, "weak and pathetic and irreparably broken." Even so, the impersonate continues to say that John Locke was the only one that did not want to leave the island.

In reply to Ben's question, the impersonate sinisterly answers, "Well, that's the great irony here, Ben, because I want the one thing that John Locke didn't. I want to go home!"
10. As fireworks emanate throughout the sky, a very confident John impersonate walks brusquely toward Richard. After his greeting, "Hello, Richard," What does this commanding figure say to Richard?

Answer: "It's good to see you out of those chains."

As the entity impersonating John approaches Richard, Richard orders those brandishing weapons to hold their fire. Frank tells Sun, "I'm seein' it, but I'm still not believin' it." The John figure strides up to Richard and says, "It's good to see you out of those chains." Richard gapes at the figure in astonishment and declares, "You?" The John impostor replies, "Me!," thereupon striking Richard and rendering him unconscious.

After telling the crowd, "I'm very disappointed in all of you," he lifts Richard onto his shoulder and walks away.
