Lane Smith plays Doctor Joseph Fitzgerald, a historian from the late 22nd century who is doing field research in the 1960s. He is a relative of President Kennedy. Fitzgerald travels to Dallas on November 22, hoping to observe, but intervenes at the last minute to save Kennedy's life. He joins the President on Air Force One to return to Washington. Andrew Robinson played Kennedy.

Dean Stockwell did lots of science fiction, most notably "Quantum Leap". Walter Koenig was Chekov in the original "Star Trek" series and several films. Andrew Robinson is probably most famous as the serial killer in "Dirty Harry" (1971).
2. In "Profile in Silver" what world leader is assassinated after Fitzgerald saves Kennedy?

Answer: Nikita Khrushchev

Once Fitzgerald saves Kennedy, there are massive disturbances in the timeline. One of the biggest being the murder of the Soviet leader and a major power shake-up in the Russian Politburo, leading to a confrontation in Berlin.

Fitzgerald's computer tells him that saving Kennedy has so distorted the time line that all future time lines lead to either nuclear or environmental annihilation. The only way to fix things: restore the original time line. Fitzgerald gives Kennedy his homing device, which sends the President 200 years into the future. Fitzgerald then returns to the motorcade and takes Kennedy's place, after helping the Secret Service engineer the biggest cover-up of all time. The episode closes with Kennedy lecturing as a history professor at 22nd century Harvard University.

"Profile in Silver" was part of the 20th episode of Season 1, and aired March 7, 1986.

Jeff Yagher plays an Elvis impersonator named Gary Pitkin, who is dissatisfied playing low budget motels. Fate sends him to July 1954, where he meets Elvis just before he begins his Rock and Roll career.

Pitkin convinces Elvis that he the ghost of Jessie, Elvis' twin brother, sent to help him with his career. Pitkin tries to get Elvis to play the music he knows will be successful, but the real Elvis objects to Rock and Roll. The men fight, and the real Elvis is killed. Pitkin feels so guilty that he decides to take over Elvis' life and career: the music, the movies, the concerts.

The episode flashes forward twenty years towards the end of Elvis-Pitkin's life. He has a strange encounter with a young woman named Sandra (Lisa Jane Persky), who in the future will be Pitkin's manager. They are in a hotel room on the Las Vegas strip.

Pitkin explains the story of Elvis' death and how he took his place. And even though he knew the pitfalls that killed Elvis, Pitkin seems unable to avoid them. Pitkin feels that the downfall is part of the package he inherited, and is part of the penance he must pay for killing Elvis.

"The Once and Future King" was the first episode of season 2 of the 1980s version of "The Twilight Zone", airing September 27, 1986.
5. What is the name of Paul Sand's character in "Time and Teresa Golowitz"?

Answer: Bluestone (Blaustein)

Paul Sand plays a musician known as Bluestone (first name unknown). He suffers a heart attack and has a meeting with the Devil (Gene Barry) who agrees to grant him any favor he wishes. Bluestone makes the rather mundane wish of hooking up with a high school girl he had a crush on. The Devil send him to October 1948.

Upon seeing his former crush, Bluestone decides not to sleep with her. But fate provides him the opportunity to save the life of a young woman considering suicide. He convinces her that she is a talented singer and can be popular.

Flash forward to the present (1987), where Teresa Golowitz GOES on to become a huge singing star Courtesy of a nudge by the devil and Bluestone. Since the powers that be in "the place above" don't like time meddling, Bluestone will have to spend some time "Below Decks".

"Time and Teresa Golowitz" was part of the 10th episode of the second season of the 1980s series, and first aired July 10, 1987.

Paul Sand was Charlie in "Quantum Leap" ("Catch a Falling Star"), Gird Thomas in "The X-Files" ("Red Museum") and Dr Malcolm White on "Sliders" ("Map of the Mind").
6. In "Extra Innings" what is the name of the baseball player in 1910?

Answer: Monte Hanks

Marc Singer plays a washed-up baseball player named Ed Hamner, whose wife is trying to convince him to give up baseball and try for an "adult" career. Hamner is friends with Paula, a talented baseball player who loves the game and trades baseball cards with him. She finds a card from 1910 that is a dead ringer for Hamner. The card turns out to be magic and creates a portal that allows Hamner to travel to 1910.

In the original timeline, Monte Hanks was killed by a freak baseball that hit him in the head. In the new timeline, Hamner takes over for Hanks. Hamner ultimately has to make the choice between his wife and baseball, and picks baseball. Paula tears the card, trapping Hamner in the 1910s, but as a successful baseball star.

Hanks wore a "W" on his uniform, making him a Washington Senator. In the TV show, Monte played in the World Series. In this universe, the Senators came nowhere close to the World Series in 1910, finishing 66 and 85.

"Extra Innings" was the second episode of the third season, and aired on October 1, 1988.
7. What star from "Grey's Anatomy" played a time traveler in "Cradle of Darkness"?

Answer: Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl played Andrea Collins in "Cradle of Darkness". She travels to Branau, Austria in April 1889 a few weeks after the birth of Adolf Hitler. Collins, after a few missteps, ultimately sacrifices her own life by jumping in the river with the infant Hitler.

In a twist the show is famous for, another housemaid buys a gypsy child and replaces him for Adolf. Presumably this is the child who will grow up to become the dictator who kills millions of people. As Forest Whitaker notes "History cannot be changed, not even in The Twilight Zone."

"Cradle of Darkness" was the fourth episode of the 2002 revival and aired on October 2, 2022.
8. What did Sean Moore steal from his father in "Found and Lost"?

Answer: autographed baseball

"Found and Lost" starred Brian Austin Green as Sean Moore, a businessman who gets the rare opportunity to fix the errors of his past. He founds his company on $8,000 that he received for a signed baseball that he stole from his father.

Moore has several strange encounters with a reporter named Elizabeth Carter (Moira Kelly), who turns out to be a ghost. He returns to 1988, on the day his teenage self took the baseball. This time, he leaves the baseball, placing his destiny on a different course.

"Found and Lost" was written by actor Billy Mumy, who appeared in several episodes of "The Twilight Zone." It was the 22nd episode of the 2002 season and aired November 27, 2002.

Eric LaSalle, best-known as Dr Peter Benton on the medical drama "ER", plays Ray Ellison, a legal assistant who has a brain tumor. After being hit by a car, Ellison winds up in April 1968, on the day before the assassination of Martin Luther King.

Ellison makes friends with nurse Adelaide Tyler and her son Lucas. Using his legal knowledge, Ray is able to give Adelaide advice which prevents the bank from foreclosing on her home. Vivica A Fox played Adelaide.
10. What is the name of the boy that Ray saves in "Memphis"?

Answer: Lucas

Being in Memphis on April 4, 1968, Ray heads to the Lorraine Motel to attempt to prevent the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Lucas follows Ray, and is about to be hit by a car, presenting Ellison with the dilemma of saving King or saving Lucas. Ray jumps in front of the car and saves Lucas, and returns to the present.

Flash forward to the present, where Lucas Tyler has become a world famous brain surgeon, who operates on Ray and saves his life. Jascha Washington played young Lucas Tyler. Chris Fields played the future Doctor Tyler.
