Young Ned tried to tell himself that the consequence was beyond his control but he decided to find out for certain. After completing his experiment, he decided never to bring something back to life for more than a minute again -- until he found Chuck.

Answer: Flowers

A planter full of yellow flowers dies while Chuck talks about what she should do with her new life. Chuck doesn't see the flowers die and at this point doesn't know that someone died because Ned didn't touch her again.

Ned does pretty well in the fight and after he defeats Wilfred he knocks down a red curtain revealing all the missing items that the Schatz brothers had stolen.
