Jordy Raines was the prison guard that allowed Joe Carroll to escape. He poses as a campus security officer and talks his way into the sorority house where the sister leads him up to Jessie's room. It's conveniently unoccupied at the time, but, Jordy has stashed a bag filled with murder implements just outside the window.

He pulls it inside the room and tells the girl that he's been "planning this a long time"...

Answer: Debra

Agent Debra Parker was brought in because Agent Mason was sent back to Quantico, or so we are told (in fact, the actress, Jeananne Goossen, had only been signed on to play in the pilot episode). Agent Parker is quick-witted, not afraid to tell the truth and doesn't hold back when she thinks she's right, which is most of the time, anyway. Later in the episode we learn that she is part of the FBI's alternative religion unit and she specializes in cults specifically.

Answer: They're on an adventure

Denise had abducted Joey, Joe Carroll and Claire Matthews' son, in the previous episode. She teams up with the 'gay' neighbours and they flee somewhere where the FBI wouldn't be able to trace them. Joey is still unaware of the alternate identities of the three and the fact that he's actually been kidnapped, but, he still has enough sense to ask to talk to his mom.

The excuse that they're on an adventure, holds, but, for how long?

Answer: Hope

Joe Carroll's book, while not a mainstream success, did get him a few fans (and some, apparently, not the kind you generally want to meet alone in a dark alley). Emma meets Joe at his book reading and he becomes interested in her, even with Emma's mother flirting with Carroll. He signs Emma's copy of the book "hopefully yours, Joe".

Answer: He gets assaulted

Ryan Hardy enters Emma's house, illegally, mind you, despite Agent Mike Weston's protests. Inside he finds a room reeking of cult mentality, a word the FBI has been avoiding up to this point. On a shelf in that room there are several masks of Edgar Allan Poe on a shelf, however, the last mask actually has a body attached to it as well.

The person, a male, attacks Hardy and tells him "you're not supposed to be here".

Answer: No

Ryan was too much of a gentleman and Claire was too proper to have had a relationship before Claire was officially divorced. Or something like that. In a flashback, we see Claire and Ryan celebrating the divorce, and Claire asks Ryan to kiss her. Only then do they begin their romantic relationship, though I'm sure that the sparks were there even before that.

The relationship lasted for two months, however, it's clear that there's still something there between the two of them.

Answer: Emma

Emma had invited Jacob over for dinner, and Emma's mother made a pass at Jacob. There were some pretty suggestive remarks made to Jacob, and Emma's mother also put down Emma as a "Plain Jane". Emma comes out of the kitchen with a salad she had been slicing and stabbed her mother in the back. Jacob looks on the scene shocked, amazed, and aroused as well.

Answer: Brushing her teeth

Jordy had disappeared after the sorority murders, but he's actually in Claire's attic. He drops into the top floor of her house making quick work of the agent that was upstairs trying to protect her, and then comes into Claire's bedroom as she's brushing her teeth. Claire sees him in the mirror, obviously recognizing that he's not supposed to be there, but, amazingly, she doesn't scream for help.

Answer: Riley

Jordy tells Ryan to send the other agents away, and they retreat behind the door. However, as Ryan enters the room to try and talk with Jordy, Agent Troy Riley tucks his pistol into Hardy's belt where Jordy wouldn't be able to see it. Hardy enters the room and tries to distract Jordy and to tell him that nobody needs to die, and he can call Joe Carroll to confirm this. Jordy's hesitation, a sudden relaxation, and him glancing at the phone in Claire's bedroom allows Claire to move out of the line of fire and for Ryan to shoot Jordy.

Answer: Parker

After Ryan Hardy surprises Joe Carroll for the first time by telling him that Jordy Raines wasn't killed as originally planned, Ryan leaves without breaking any of Carroll's bones. Carroll returns to his cell and he's obviously requested some reading material because Agent Debra Parker shows up with a book of Edgar Allan Poe short-stories and hands it over to Carroll. They have a moment, the two of them, which makes you wonder whether Parker is in on this plot as well.

You'll just have to wait and find out...
