Qetesh was extracted from Vala by the Tok'ra and as Goa'uld cannot survive after removal from their host, it is highly likely that she died. Qetesh was a rival of Ba'al, who tortured Jack O'Neill and was a major Goa'uld threat to Earth. Jolinar (of Malkshur) was the Tok'ra who was carried as a symbiote by Samantha Carter. Sokar was a Goa'uld system lord who nearly reached Earth by heating up the Iris and passing through it.

Tomin was a soldier of the Ori army living on Ver Isca whom Vala married so that she would not be put to death for bearing a child out of wedlock. Vala left Tomin to return to the SGC before the birth of her child but they met again when she was delivered of Adria and told Vala that her baby was the Orici. Thor was an Asgard who came to the aid of Earth, the SGC and SG-1 on multiple occasions, then the action was reciprocated when SG-1 helped Thor to escape from the Replicators that had become a plague on his ship. Urgo was an illusion who was placed in the minds of SG-1 and made them do stupid things. Fifth was a human-form Replicator who captured and tortured Sam Carter.

In "Memento Mori" (season 10, episode 8), Daniel offered to take Vala off-base, since she rarely got the chance to go out to the restaurant Il Fiore Bianco, where she was kidnapped. The device that was to be used to stimulate her memory was hit by a blast and her memory went. Daniel later helped her to regain her memories and spending time back at Cheyenne Mountain helped in the task.

In the series finale, "Unending", the team were trapped in a localized time field, where they were isolated from everybody else. After Vala attempted to seduce Daniel, he confronted her and after seeing her cry, he realised the truth behind her intentions and that she was not just a flirtatious, teasing, insincere girl.

While in isolation, they continue their relationship but when Sam Carter fixed the issue, neither recalled their intimacy. Teal'c, the only one who had the ability to tell them what occurred, refused to share his knowledge.
