Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. An animate object with a huge greataxe and greatshield, fought at the end of Lothric Castle and just before the Grand Archives.

Answer: Dragonslayer Armor

Dragonslayer Armor is an animate suit of armor being controlled by a group of Pygmy Butterflies which fly nearby. Around half health, these butterflies will further assist the armor by slinging red goopy sludge at the player, which can stun them and make evading the armor that much harder.
2. One of "Dark Souls 2's" secret bosses, this one can only be fought if the player maxes their covenant rank with the Pilgrims of the Dark.

Answer: Darklurker

In order to max their standing with the Pilgrims of the Dark, the player must travel through each of the three obelisks leading into the Chasm of the Abyss. At the end of the third, instead of reappearing outside of the obelisk upon completing it, the player will instead drop into a small room where Darklurker will attack them.
3. At the very end of "Bloodborne's" exhaustingly long Chalice Dungeons lies this boss.

Answer: Yharnam, Pthumerian Queen

The individual of whom the entire setting is named after is found at the dead end of the chalice dungeons. This extremely tedious adventure will require traveling through nine different dungeons and fighting nineteen different other bosses. It is necessary to ultimately obtain the game's Platinum trophy, so achievement hunters have their work cut out for them.
4. Can be fought a total of two times in "Elden Ring" and is the direct binary opposition to Malenia, Blade of Miquella as he has kidnapped Miquella and wants to be Miquella's consort.

Answer: Mohg, Lord of Blood

Mohg is one twisted character, as he has not only abducted Miquella, but aims to take Miquella, the child, as his bride. He can be fought at the Subterranean Shunning Grounds and at his own palace underground.
5. Bishop of the Deep and boss of Irithyl of the Boreal Valley, this character canonically defeated and delivered Dark Sun Gwyndolin to St Aldrich of the Deep.

Answer: Pontiff Sulyvahn

Pontiff Sulyvahn is probably the most heinous character in the entire "Dark Souls" trilogy. This is because he not only basically fed Gwyndolin to the cannibalistic Aldrich, but he also essentially used his devious magic to brainwash all of his underlings, as to ensure they don't think to try and rise against him.

He did this by distributing them rings which improve their combat prowess, but deteriorate their mental health to the point of being completely driven mad.
6. The lone son of the Witch of Izalith, defeating this boss is required in order to reach Izalith and progress through the Demon Ruins.

Answer: Ceaseless Discharge

Ceaseless Discharge is an enormous demon who isn't initially hostile upon spotting the player. He only attacks if the player does first, or if the player loots what they likely didn't know was one of his sister's dead bodies. By defeating him, a large amount of lava impeding the player's progress in Demon Ruins is drained, allowing for progression through the area.
7. A former saint of an unknown religion, this boss accepted demonhood in order to better tend to injured and sickly residents of Boletaria.

Answer: Maiden Astraea

Astraea initially came to the Valley of Defilement with the hopes of tending to the sick, discarded people of Boletaria. After lamenting over her god punishing these people unnecessarily, Astraea eventually abandoned her faith and accepted demonhood as a last resort to save the dying.

Her benevolent nature is on display during her fight, as she is incapable of attacking, and if the player defeats her bodyguard in Garl Vinland, she will immediately surrender begrudgingly and give her soul to the player.
8. Described by High Priestess Emma as "the vile watchdog." Found at the High Wall of Lothric.

Answer: Vordt of the Boreal Valley

Vordt is a quadrupedal outrider knight who wields a great hammer and is coated in frost. He is progressively more aggressive as the fight carries on, particularly in transitioning to second phase.
9. A gank fight found at the Throne of Want.

Answer: Throne Watcher & Defender

This duo is fought just before Nashandra and, potentially, Aldia the Scholar of the First Sin. Benhart of Jugo can be summoned to give the player a better numbers situation.
10. Supposedly the last Demon to have ever lived in the "Dark Souls" trilogy, fought at Smoldering Lake.

Answer: Old Demon King

This is how Old Demon King is portrayed in the game's lore. As it happens, the game was deliberately incorrect as the true last demon, Demon Prince, is fought at the Dreg Heaps in the game's DLC.
11. If the player wants to get their hands on the iconic Moonlight Greatsword in "Bloodborne", this DLC boss would need to be defeated.

Answer: Ludwig the Accursed

Ludwig wields the aforementioned sword with terrifying lethality and efficiency. His first phase is fairly ho-hum, but when he's brought to half health, one of the game's most memorable cutscenes plays, as Ludwig's ordinary, mundane blade seems to take a life of its own, manifesting into the Moonlight Greatsword in front of Ludwig's weary, injured gaze.

This invigorates him and turns the fight into one of the game's hardest.
12. This rematch in "Elden Ring" takes place at the Elden Throne, as the game's first mandatory boss confronts the player under a different name.

Answer: Morgott the Omen King

Having been previously known as Margit the Fell Omen, Morgott returns to face the player with an upgraded repertoire. Here, his combo game is even more devastating, featuring longer, harder hitting combos which are a bit speedier than his previous iteration. Morgott also gains some new magic, being able to rain radiant daggers onto the battlefield and infuse his blade with DarkFire. Defeating him here will kill him off for good, but doing so is definitely easier said than done.
13. The final boss of "Dark Souls 1's" DLC, this character was responsible for pulling the player's character into Oolacile in the first place.

Answer: Manus, Father of the Abyss

The trigger to get Manus to pull the player into Oolacile is to loot the Broken Pendant off a blue golem found at the Duke's Archives, then head for the lake at the Darkroot Basin and traveling to where a golden golem is found. Once this golem is defeated and Dusk of Oolacile is safe, the player should reload the area and return to the spot where the fight was had.

There will be no golem, but Manus' arm will instead manifest and grab the player, pulling them into a portal that will take them to Oolacile.

He is the DLC's final boss.
14. The only boss in "Bloodborne" capable of healing itself, fought at the Grand Cathedral.

Answer: Vicar Amelia

Vicar Amelia is one of the game's harder bosses, being highly aggressive, resisting Arcane and capable of healing large quantities of health at random points of the game. The healing can be nullified through timely use of a Numbing Mist, which unsurprisingly turns into a good idea to bring to this fight.
15. Found at Frozen Eleum Loyce, this "Dark Souls 2" boss is a hero with a tragic ending whom the player is trying to grant an honorable death to.

Answer: Burnt Ivory King

According to lore, the Burnt Ivory King led a swath of his men into Old Chaos to do battle with the corrupted forces of Hell. His soul was essentially amidst being corrupted at the time, so this was his last chance to subdue these horrible forces who had been plaguing the people of Eleum Loyce for time innumerable.

It didn't work, as neither he nor his men would return. He is portrayed as having been a kind, benevolent leader who constantly sought the front lines alongside his soldiers in times of conflict, being beloved by his people as a ruler. One of his closest devotees, a subjugated Fragment of Manus whom the king gave refuge to in Alsanna will implore the player to give the king an honorable death.
