Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When does The Judge debut?

Answer: "The First Turnabout"

Along with the man himself Phoenix and everyone else in this episode, The Judge has been right there since the very start.
2. What is The Judge's actual name?

Answer: This is never revealed

The Judge never actually does receive a name. Even in other games he appears in, such as "Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Trilogy", he is simply known as The Judge or Judge for short.
3. When Phoenix appears at his first trial in "The First Turnabout", The Judge decides to quiz him to make sure he's ready to go. What is one of the things he asks Phoenix?

Answer: Who the defendant is

The options presented for an answer are Larry Butz (correct answer), Mia Fey and Cindy Stone. Cindy Stone is the victim, while Mia Fey is Phoenix's assistant. Those playing the game on PlayStation, XBox, or a device with an achievement system are encouraged to choose Mia Fey if they want to 100% the game, as this will earn the "Please Turn In Your Badge" achievement.
4. In "Rising from the Ashes", The Judge makes a pretty silly remark. Fill in the blank: "I once wasted an entire day looking for my dentures, when, in reality, they were ___________ all along! Ha!"

Answer: in my mouth

In later iterations of "Phoenix Wright", The Judge would start to say silly things such as the quote listed above.
5. In "Turnabout Big Top", The Judge makes a strange ruling on the defendant in this case. What does The Judge do here?

Answer: Calls him by his stage name

The defendant's legal name is Billy Bob Coots. His stage name is Maximillion Galactica. The Judge expresses that his daughter is a big fan of Maximillion Galactica, and decides to use this moniker when addressing the defendant, instead of using his legal name.
6. In "Farewell my Turnabout", late in the trial, The Judge addresses Matt Engarde, the defendant. The Judge eventually admits that Engarde is innocent, but what does he say before suggesting as much?

Answer: "I can't truly think of you as a truly innocent and good person."

It is obvious at this point that Matt Engarde is a terrible person. However, The Judge is technically correct in suggesting Engarde is not a murderer, because he never actually did kill anybody with his own two hands. Instead, Engarde contracted an assassin to do it for him.
7. We find in "Turnabout Memories" that The Judge has a family co-worker, his younger brother. What courtroom function does The Judge's younger brother serve?

Answer: Judge

As it happens, The Judge's younger brother is also a judge. As well, The Judge's younger brother is also simply known in-game as "Judge" or, labelled by the community as "The Judge's Brother".
8. On one occasion, The Judge's sturdy demeanor cracked and shattered in a big way, to the point where he began to cower in fear of a person who took the witness stand in "Recipe for Turnabout." Whose antics frightened The Judge?

Answer: Furio Tigre

Every time the player correctly pokes a hole in Tigre's testimony or, in general, proves that he lying or that he may have committed the crime, Tigre will respond by roaring loudly in anger. When the player finally, definitively proves Tigre was the true culprit, Tigre roars so loud that it causes the power in the courtroom to briefly go out. All of this greatly intimidates everyone with the exception of Prosecutor Godot.
9. When The Judge first met Prosecutor Godot, Godot explained his experience in trials to The Judge and claimed to have an unbeaten record. What does The Judge label Godot as in response?

Answer: Arrogant

Godot had never lost a case, but he had also never won one either; this was his very first trial.
10. One of the silliest lines The Judge would say comes in "Farewell my Turnabout". Here, he is outraged, apparently confused, and renders a guilty verdict for Phoenix himself. Even Franziska is stunned by this, and she will ask if The Judge was 'derelict' with his duties. How does he respond?

Answer: "No, I don't dare lick my duties, what kind of person do you take me for?"

To 'derelict' one's duties essentially means to do them really poorly and haphazardly; as such, Franziska is mostly asking if The Judge is actually doing his job correctly. It does not mean to suggest The Judge 'licks his duties'.
