'Kingdom Hearts': Terra's Birth Quiz

In "Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep" each character starts with their own 'Command Style' which is activated by using certain commands or attacks in rapid succession. Although the characters share certain Command Styles later on, Terra starts with one called 'Critical Impact'. Critical Impact focuses on massive amounts of damage over a large area.

Answer: He could not contain his darkness

The game starts by telling the player that Terra and Aqua are to be tested for the Mark of Mastery so they may be true Keyblade Masters. However, during the test Terra and Aqua are told to spar with each other, but not to kill. It is shown that Terra was unable to control his darkness during the fight, which results in him failing the Mark of Mastery exam.

Answer: His darkness is manipulated

In the world 'Enchanted Dominion' Terra is in the world of Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). After arriving in the world, Terra is told by Maleficent that Master Xehanort was searching for 'Pure hearts filled with light', leading Terra to Princess Aurora. Maleficent tried to convince Terra to give into his darkness and steal her heart, but he refuses. Maleficent then takes matters into her own hands and manipulates the darkness within Terra, forcing him to steal her heart.

Answer: Castle of Dreams

After going through one of the stories, the 'Trinity Timeline' is revealed to you. This timeline is filled as you complete the stories and tells you who went where, what they did there and when they did in relation to the other two protagonists. In Terra's timeline, he is the first to visit the Enchanted Dominion and Dwarf Woodlands, but second to visit the Castle of Dreams world, which he visited after Ventus.

The Mirage Arena is not actually a part of the Timeline and is not related to the story but is rather an optional side place to grind and such.

Answer: Braig

During the events of Radiant Garden, Aqua and Terra get into a fight and Terra storms off in search of Master Xehanort. During this search, a man by the name of Braig tells Terra he's holding Master Xehanort hostage, which leads to a fight. Braig would later become Xigbar, but was, at the time, Braig.

Answer: Experiment 221

'Deep Space' is a world based around the beginning of 'Lilo and Stitch' in which Stitch (Experiment 626 at the time) is being held by Gantu and the space police. Stitch escapes and Terra teams up with Jumba Jookiba to track him down. After following Stitch, Terra decides that maybe he just wants a friend, to which Jumba says is impossible as his only function is to destroy. To prove himself a genius, Jumba shows the destructive power of another of his experiments (which he somehow had on him despite having been in prison), Experiment 221.

Answer: Rumble Racing

During Radiant Garden, Ventus gives Terra and Aqua lifetime passes to Disney Town. Disney Town is basically made for minigames (although it does have some Unversed) and all three characters play a different minigame canonically. Terra's canon game is called Rumble Racing, a simple racing game hosted by Chip and Dale.

Answer: After visiting the 'Mysterious Tower'

During Terra's story he visits 'The Badlands' several times, but his first is right after visiting Master Yen Sid at the Mysterious Tower. Terra doesn't really ever explore The Badlands, but it's still counted on the timeline.

Answer: Dark Impulse

Near the end of Terra's story there's a fight against Master Eraqus. During this fight Terra gives in to his own darkness, starting the battle with the Command Style 'Dark Impulse'. Dark Impulse runs out just like any other Command Style, however it is the only one you can use during this fight.

Answer: He claims it's filled with light

Terra meets Captain Hook in Neverland and is convinced that Peter Pan is evil and wishes to steal the 'light' that Hook claims is inside the treasure chest. Terra is further convinced when Peter Pan comes to take the treasure but, after a fight, Terra realizes the treasure holds gold and not 'light' and that he was tricked.

Answer: Vanitas

The final boss of Terra's story has several parts, but the very first part is Terra versus Vanitas and Xehanort. The fight ends rather quickly as Vanitas leaves you to fight against Xehanort alone.

Answer: Terra does not make sound during attacks

Terra's final boss has three parts to it. You start off against Vanitas and Xehanort, then fight Xehanort alone and then finish it against Xehanort in Terra's body. During the final phase, Terra is in his Keyblade Armor but does not actually make any noise when you attack, no matter which one you use. Xehanort does not copy anything of yours, using his own abilities and you have access to all of your Command Styles (Lost Light isn't even a real Command Style).

Answer: Holding you in place with a dark vortex

Xehanort's final phase at the end of Terra's story has several attacks to do you in with. Among those is a rapid fire of dark orbs that home in on you, turning his Keyblade into a cannon of some sort and even using the Dark Impulse Command Style (although he only does one full run of it before finishing). Throughout the entire fight, Xehanort never actually uses anything to actually hold you in place (although he has several attacks that keep you from moving when caught in it).

Answer: Round arena with bright orange chains around

Xehanort's boss battle takes place on top of a mountain for the first two phases of the fight. However, during the fight Terra loses his body to Xehanort but rather than a Game Over, you are brought to a round area surrounded by bright orange chains. The game never specifies where this area is, but dialogue suggests you're inside Terra's heart as he tries to defeat Xehanort.

Answer: Xehanort

During the Final Episode, Aqua travels to Radiant Garden, being led there by Terra's voice. After finding him, she realizes not all is fine as Terra begins strangling her with darkness. Aqua calls to him, making him question himself, leading to a boss fight.

After beating Terra, Aqua sacrifices herself to save him and he is found by Braig, Dilan and Ansem the Wise. When asked his name however, he replies "Xeha...nort".
