"Kingdom Hearts" vs. "Kingdom Hearts 2" Quiz

Atlantica is untouched by evil in "Kingdom Hearts 2", except for Ursula who persists once more. Instead, Atlantica is like a musical level, and in order to complete it, Sora must successfully finish each of the five songs. Ariel also becomes a human in "Kingdom Hearts 2" (thanks to Ursula) and meets her prince.

In my opinion, I like "Kingdom Hearts 2" Atlantica better because the underwater fighting style can get frustrating.

Pete is shown in "Kingdom Hearts" among the other boss-villains, but he doesn't fight Sora until the second game. Ursula is in both of the these games, and must be defeated in order to complete Atlantica. Sephiroth is in Olympus Coliseum in the first game under "Platinum Match", and he's at the outskirts of Radiant Garden in the second game ready to fight again. Maleficent actually doesn't fight Sora in the second game herself, but does in the first game.

Instead she has Pete do it over and over.

Answer: Never Land

Sora doesn't get to revisit Never Land, although he does get Peter Pan as an ally. The difference in the Agrabahs is that Jafar returns in "Kingdom Hearts 2" and the fight is over top of the city in general. Hollow Bastion is much friendlier in "Kingdom Hearts 2", as opposed to just a castle brimming with Heartless in "Kingdom Hearts". Olympus Coliseum gets demolished in "Kingdom Hearts 2", and so most of the battles there take place in the Underworld's Coliseum which Zeus had originally locked away.

Stop is the spell that stops enemies in their tracks, allowing Sora to safely attack. Cure is definitely in both games, although in "Kingdom Hearts 2", Cure costs Sora all of his magic power as opposed to just one part of it. To get Magnet, defeat Oogie Boogie in Halloween Town (the first time), and to get Reflect defeat Pete in Timeless River.

We see Disney Castle as Donald reads King Mickey's letter and informs Goofy about it, and it even appears on the world map, but you cannot fly to it. Then in "Kingdom Hearts 2" Sora gets to travel to the Timeless River through the Hall of the Cornerstone, which is in the castle istelf. Pride Lands, Land of the Dragons, and Beast's Castle don't appear in "Kingdom Hearts" at all, but Sora gets Mushu and Simba as summons (which are from Land of the Dragons and Pride Lands) and even gets Beast as an ally (from Beast's Castle) all in the first game.

There are 10 Ansem Reports in "Kingdom Hearts" and there are 13 in "Kingdom Hearts 2". To get the odd numbered Ansem Reports in "Kingdom Hearts", you must simply beat the bosses by playing the game (with the exception of number 8, which Hades holds but he's not a required boss anyway).

There is no similar system to attaining the Ansem Reports in "Kingom Hearts 2", even though many are acquired in no pattern/order by defeating bosses.

They are Megara (Hercules' girlfriend), Pegasus (Hercules' horse), Pain and Panic (Hades' minions), and Hydra (the boss with multiple heads). There were only six characters in "Kingdom Hearts", and they were Hercules, Philoctetes, Hades, Cerberus, Ice Titan, and Rock Titan. Auron IS a character who appears in "Kingdom Hearts 2" but he belongs to the "Final Fantasy" category, not "Hercules".

The crocodile appears in "Kingdom Hearts" (the one who ate Captian Hook's hand) but does not appear in "Kingdom Hearts 2".
The dog certainly appears in both (either Zero, Jack's dog from Halloween Town or Cerberus, Hades' mutt from Olympus Coliseum).
The bird is Iago from Agrabah; you can't miss him with his witty remarks.
The tiger is Tigger from the Hundred Acre Wood (he may say he's a "tigger", but come on... that's just his name. He's a tiger).

It is true that Sora defeats Maleficent in "Kingdom Hearts", in both witch and dragon form. She even burns to a crisp, leaving behind only her cloak. And then when she returns in "Kingdom Hearts 2", her plans certainly seem to be against Sora as she plots the return of her position in a castle, but in the end she instructs Sora to take care of Xemnas as she and Pete take on the swarm of Heartless pouring in the final chamber of The World that Never Was.

After they split in this scene, Maleficent and Pete are never seen again... although that onslaught of Heartless has certainly disappeared too, so I guess you can think of if it as a loss for both sides.

Answer: All of these get revealed

In fact, the only one in "Kingdom Hearts 2" that you could say doesn't get revealed is Jiminy himself.
Ansem doesn't get revealed in "Kingdom Hearts", but he does in "Kingdom Hearts 2". Under the name "Ansem" in "Kingdom Hearts", that picture is actually a picture of Xehanort. You learn this of course in "Kingdom Hearts 2".
King Mickey is also revealed in "Kingdom Hearts 2" but not in "Kingdom Hearts". The picture under the name "King Mickey" in "Kingdom Hearts" in the journal is just a question mark. Even though you get to see Mickey after the final boss has been defeated, you aren't given the option to save the game, so his picture therefore never gets recorded in the journal.
Xemnas isn't even in "Kingdom Hearts", but is in "Kingdom Hearts 2". He is the leader of Organization XIII and is Ansem's Nobody.
