Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What Command Style does Ventus start out with?

Answer: Fever Pitch

At the beginning of the game, Ventus is given a 'Command Style' that is exclusive to him. Command Styles are 'super forms' that the player activates by using certain commands in rapid succession. Fever Pitch makes use of Ven's speed and allows him to attack enemies quickly ending with a rapid attack centered on a single enemy.
2. Why does Ventus fail the Mark of Mastery exam?

Answer: He doesn't take the Mark of Mastery exam

The beginning tutorial makes mention of the fact that Terra and Aqua are to take the Mark of Mastery exam. However, Ventus was never going to take the test to begin with. Ventus is there during the test, but only to cheer on his friends.
3. What world does Ventus go to first, according to the in-game timeline (excluding Land of Departure)?

Answer: Dwarf Wooldands

After beating one of the stories, the 'Trinity Timeline' is opened up, allowing you to track who goes where and when in comparison to the other two stories. The timeline has Ventus first visiting the Dwarf Woodlands (although he is not the first of the characters to go there).
4. Why does Ventus leave the Land of Departure?

Answer: He chases after Terra

After Terra fails the Mark of Mastery exam, he's pretty bummed out. Ventus is worried about his friend, but keeps his distance while Terra has some alone time. Ventus is then visited by a masked boy who says Terra is in danger and, fearing for Terra's safety, gives chase. Although Terra says he's fine, Ventus follows Terra to the outside worlds.
5. What was the first time Ventus was the first of the three to visit a world?

Answer: Castle of Dreams

Using the in-game timeline, Ventus was the first to visit the Castle of Dreams. Ventus is the second to visit Dwarf Woodlands and Enchanted Dominion, after Terra.
6. In which of these worlds does Ventus fight an Unversed boss?

Answer: Deep Space

Deep Space's boss is an Unversed that you fight with the help of Experiment 626 (Stitch) while trying to keep it from destroying the ship. Neverland's boss is Captain Hook, Enchanted Dominion's boss is Maleficent, and Castle of Dreams boss is Lucifer.
7. Which of these Keyblades is exclusive to Ventus?

Answer: Frolic Flame

Most Keyblades in the game are shared by all characters, with the only differences being what they go through to get them. Frolic Flame is the only Keyblade of these four that is only given to Ventus, which is obtained after completing Radiant Garden. Treasure Trove is given to anyone who completes Dwarf Woodlands, Ultima is given to anyone who completes the Mirage Arena, and No Name is given to anyone who defeats an optional boss in the end game.
8. How are Vanitas and Ventus connected?

Answer: Vanitas is Ven's darkness

Vanitas remains nameless for most of the game, mostly being referred to as the 'Masked Boy'. Late in the game, however, it is revealed that Vanitas was the darkness that used to be in Ven's heart which Xehanort released when Ventus refused to give in to it.
9. Why does Xehanort want Vanitas and Ventus to fight?

Answer: So they will form the ÷-blade

Ventus is revealed to be the key to forming the ÷-blade (pronounced either Key-blade, or Kye-blade). Should Ventus and Vanitas fight, the ÷-blade would be created and Xehanort would take its power.
10. What happens to Ventus in the end?

Answer: He destroys his own heart

The end boss of Ven's story is against Vanitas. The fight starts like previous fights against Vanitas, but after the first phase you are sent into Ven's heart where you fight Vanitas and the incomplete ÷-blade. The ÷-blade is said to be part of Ven's heart and destroying it will destroy his heart, but he goes through with it.

The end shows Ventus descending into darkness after defeating Vanitas and breaking the ÷-blade.
11. What 'treasure' does Ventus leave in Peter Pan's treasure chest?

Answer: A wooden Keyblade

After completing Neverland, Peter Pan shows Ventus a treasure chest they use to store their own treasures. Ventus decides to add to it, putting a wooden Keyblade with the name 'Terra' carved into it into the chest.
12. Why does Ventus go to the Mysterious Tower?

Answer: Mickey's Star Shard brought him there

After Neverland, Ventus has Mickey's Star Shard with no Mickey in sight. The Star Shard decides to flip out on him, warping him away from Neverland. The Star Shard puts him in front of the Mysterious Tower, where Donald and Goofy meet him, hoping he can tell them about their King.
13. What does Ventus ask of Terra and Aqua at the Keyblade Graveyard?

Answer: To put an end to him

Ventus learn a lot about himself during his journey, eventually learning that he will be forced to create an ultimate evil. Knowing it's inevitable, Ventus asks Terra and Aqua, as a friend, to put an end to him.
14. What does Vanitas do in the last phase of the final boss fight?

Answer: D-Links with Ventus

The final fight against Vanitas takes place in Ven's heart, with Vanitas using the ÷-blade. The fight is more or less the same as previous encounters, but when you would deal the 'finishing blow' to Vanitas, he pulls one last trick. You are brought into a dark void, surrounded by colorful shard but, looking at your commands, you are now in a D-Link with Vanitas.

This D-Link gives you the same abilities as a normal D-Link, but will not end until Vanitas is defeated.
15. Which of these is NOT true about the final fight against Vanitas?

Answer: He can use a previously used Command Style

The final fight with Vanitas is not much different from previous encounters. Vanitas has his ability to warp behind you when under attack and can even do a dash attack that cannot be stopped until he finishes. Ventus is capable of using any ability he's obtained, however Vanitas never uses any kind of 'Command Style', or at least none you've seen before.
