Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. While the player may name the protagonist anything they wish, as with all games across this franchise, the MC does have a "canon name". What is it?

Answer: Micheal

Irritatingly enough, 'Micheal' in this case is indeed spelled with the e coming before the a.
2. Dr. Kaminko and Chobin may put a lot of time into their inventions, but as the player will be reminded numerous times, they have one massive physical shortcoming that can be quite the hindrance to the player. What is this?

Answer: Poor eyesight

Despite being in relatively decent lighting, Chobin will mistake the player for a burglar several times throughout the game despite standing no more than five feet away from him. Dr Kaminko, too, makes this mistake once. These mishaps end up being the catalyst for Chobin challenging the player to battles, even becoming a boss encounter at one point.
3. The main character has a little sister in this game. What is her name?

Answer: Jovi

For some reason, Jovi constantly speaks in the third person. She isn't too involved with this game, but she does accompany the player briefly at the beginning of the game, following them around similarly to how Rui followed Wes around in "Colosseum".
4. Cipher strikes in the early game, and their first target is Professor Krane. What do they do to him?

Answer: Abduct him

Straight up, Cipher essentially kicks the doors down to the Pokemon Lab HQ, two grunts grab Krane, they load him into a vehicle and take him away. Going on a quest to rescue him is the first major thing the player does.
5. Like "Colosseum", there are a few Cipher Admins who will be recurring faces the player eventually must confront. The first to do battle with is Lovrina. Where does this battle take place?

Answer: Shadow Pokemon Lab

The Shadow Pokémon Lab essentially serves as this game's first 'dungeon' in a way. Lovrina therefore acts as the boss of the area, giving the player the opportunity to catch Shadow Delcatty in the process.
6. The second Cipher Admin, Snattle, hatches a sinister albeit admittedly diabolically genius plan to advance Cipher's interests in Phenac City. What does Snattle do with the citizens of Phenac City?

Answer: Abducts and impersonates them

Snattle has a cabal of Cipher Peons essentially kidnap each citizen in Phenac, then has his units literally impersonate those who have been abducted. Essentially, to the naked eye (of someone not living in Phenac), nothing has actually taken place. However, the player will learn to their horror that each civilian in Phenac is actually an evil Cipher Peon in disguise.

They do a pretty amazing job with even the small details of impersonation too, so it's diabolically believable.
7. Remiscent of the admins of "Pokemon Colosseum", Cipher Admin Gorigan fights the player with a very clear strategy. What damaging move (not counting Shadow moves) will Gorigan aim to use the most?

Answer: Earthquake

Every one of Gorigan's Pokemon, except for his two Shadows, is armed with the combination of Earthquake and Protect. Earthquake, in double battles, hits every participant including allies, hence why Gorigan carried Protect as well- to protect his own Pokemon from friendly fire.

In all, this fight is very similar to fighting Dakim in "Colosseum". And the winning strategy against it is about the same- having strong special attackers, Flying types, and Protect go a long way towards stymieing Gorigan's Earthquake spam.
8. After defeating Gorigan, the player comes face to face (or screen, more accurately) with Cipher's boss, Grand Master Greevil. However, this is not the first time the player has actually met Greevil. Where did they meet him first?

Answer: Gateon Port

Similarly to Evice in "Colosseum", Greevil initially takes on the appearance of a benevolent old man, who doesn't appear capable of harming a fly. Here, he has one of his admins, Ardos, help deal with an angry man who had been heckling the player and Jovi. Like with Evice, it establishes him as being a good guy, with the likely hope of setting a similar plot twist later.
9. Returning from "Colosseum", the fan favorite Miror B is fought numerous times in this game and eventually ends up as the de-facto "final boss" of the post game. He has captured Cipher's very last Shadow Pokemon, and uses it against the player here. What Pokemon is this?

Answer: Dragonite

Much, much earlier in the game, right after the player defeats Admin Gorigan and is leaving the Cipher Key Lair, they'll find a lot of commotion taking place on the bottom floor. Workers will be angry complaining that a man matching Miror B's description came in and stole the last Pokemon the factory had been developing into a Shadow.

As it turns out, the Shadow stolen here was Dragonite, who would get used against the player at the tail end of the post game.
10. At the very end of the entire game, when Grand Master Greevil has been defeated, Cipher Admin Eldes is seen trying to convince him to just give up and submit to the "laws of the land." In doing so, his relationship with Greevil is revealed. What is Greevil to Eldes?

Answer: Father

Eldes straight up calls Greevil 'father' in trying to plea with him not to blow up all of Citadark Isle. Ardos angrily tells Eldes not to do that, but Greevil doesn't correct or say anything in response, confirming this relationship between the two. Fortunately, Eldes was able to convince Greevil to stand down, let law enforcement take him, and most importantly, not kill hundreds of people in a massive explosion.
