Robben Island is located in South Africa, the most famous inmate was Nelson Mandela. Alcatraz, in San Francisco, the United States, is located on an island in the bay. Port Arthur is in Tasmania, Australia, and was used as the prison for the colony of convicts!

Answer: mother

The word "mother" is expressed differently in many languages. The word "madre" is used by Spanish speakers, Italians and Norwegians. The French use the word "mère" for mother. The Danish use the word "mor". And, of course, there are other endearing names that people use to say, "mother", in addition to these in different languages.

For example, in English, people use the words, "mom", "ma", "mommy", "mamma", etc.

Kia Motors is a Korean automobile company, headquartered in Seoul, Korea. It advertizes that it caters to budget minded consumers. The word Kia means "to arise to the world from Asia". Kia was founded in 1944 as a manufacturer of steel tubing and bicycle parts. It began building motorcycles in 1957, trucks in 1962 and cars in 1974.

8. The Italian "benvenuto" and "benvenuta" mean what in English?

"Benvenuto" means welcome in Italian. It is also a common male name in Italy.
"Bene" comes from the Latin and means "agreeably, favorably" and "veni" in Latin means come. The vowel ending of the word changes depending on if you are addressing one man (benvenuto), one woman (benvenuta), a group of men or mixed group of men and women (benvenuti), or a group of women (benvenute).

Answer: Milton and Kitty Hershey

Milton Hershey, of the Hershey's chocolate empire, and his wife had planned to board the luxury liner in 1912, but Mrs. Hershey became rather ill. Hershey had to cancel the reservations and booked a later passage on the German luxury line, Amerika. The copy of the check written as a deposit for a first class stateroom on the Titanic can be seen in the Hershey Museum. Kitty died in 1915. Milton never remarried and died on October 13, 1945 at eighty-eight years old.

10. Beirut International Airport was renamed Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport in 2005. Who was Rafic Hariri?

Answer: Former prime minister

Hariri served as the Prime Minister of Lebanon for two terms. The first was from 1992 to 1998 and then from 2000 until 2004. He is largely seen as the man who put in place the Taif Agreement which, effectively, ended the 15-year Lebanese Civil War. The reconstruction of Beirut after this period was also achieved under his guidance. His life was taken by a suicide bomber in 2005.

The airport that now bears his name is the main port of entry into Lebanon and serves as the centre for Middle East Airlines, the country's national carrier.
