Answer: I-95 in the east

Yes, I-95 was the most dangerous road in 2019. The road starts down south on U.S. Route 1 in Miami and ends the U.S. portion of the road at the Houlton-Woodstock Canadian boarder crossing. The stretch of highway goes through 15 states and many cities including Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, New York City, Daytona and Portland, Maine. The deadliest stretch on the road in 2019 was a 1-mile part of I-95 in Fort Lauderdale in Brevard County, Florida.

In comparison, I-20 had 208 fatalities and I-5 had 192 fatalities.

Highway 1 in Australia is 9,009 miles long, the Trans-Siberian Highway in Russia is 6,800 miles long and the Trans-Canadian Highway is 4,860 miles long.

As the highest paved road in the world, the Umling La road in India is at an astonishing high altitude of 19,300 feet above sea level when it goes through Umling La Pass. The road was constructed in 2007 and links Jammu and Kashmir. The Kula Highway is in Hawaii and is 2,369 feet above sea level.

The Pico de Valeta earned the record as the highest paved road in Europe at 11,035 feet above sea level located in the region of Andalusia, Spain. White Mountain Road starts in Big Pine, California at a lower altitude than the end of the road at 11,670 feet above sea level that goes towards White Mountain Peak. Cement is only one of the ingredients you need to make concrete. Concrete typically has only about 10-15% cement in the concrete mix. There is 60-75% aggregate (usually crushed stone, sand and gravel) and 15-20% water is also added to the mix. Concrete can last around 30 years where as asphalt lasts only about 12.

The road connects the Bolivian capital of La Paz with the region of Yungas in the Amazonian rainforest. The road is known for sudden mudslides and people use it to bike down it for extreme sports use.

The road is 15,260 feet above sea level, 9.8 feet wide in spots, and has very steep cliffs right next to the roadway going down over 3,000 feet in most places. About 300 people a year died every year until the 1990s.
