Sydney is the capital of New South Wales, whose landmarks include the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Answer: Singapore

Singapore was part of Malaysia when it first formed but became the Republic of Singapore in 1965.

Answer: The Firth of Forth

The word Firth is derived from the Norse and means a fjord or narrow estuary. Several rivers flow into this firth, the main one being the River Forth. The three bridges are the Forth rail bridge, and the Forth and Queensferry Road Bridges.

LAX is of course Los Angeles International Airport, which is not the busiest in the USA, this was held by ATL (Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport) when we travelled in 2022. JFK is John F Kennedy airport in New York and DFW is Dallas Fort Worth airport in Texas. You would not fly over Greenland to reach any of the other airports mentioned.

Most Casinos have a theme, Egyptian (The Luxor), Venice (The Venetian), Hollywood (Planet Hollywood) or a display such as the Fountains of the Bellagio. Las Vegas is surrounded by desert but is lush and opulent around the entertainment and casino district.

Answer: Alcatraz Island

We were in San Francisco. Alcatraz Island is located in San Francisco Bay and was once a penitentiary holding some of Americas most notorious criminals. In 1969 the Indians of All Tribes occupied the island in the cause of Native American rights.
