Glenn McGrath played cricket for Australia between 1993 and 2007 as a fast-medium pace bowler and was part of the success of the Australian cricket team in the mid 1990s to early 2000s. McGrath was one of the most economical fast bowlers of his time.
He met his wife-to-be, Jane, in a Hong Kong nightclub when Jane was working as a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic Airways.

This helped to develop Jane's belief that every woman diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia, and their family, should have the access to and support of a specialist breast care nurse. The foundation was re-launched in 2005 in an effort to fulfill Jane's wish.

All proceeds received go into funding a McGrath Breast Care Nurse for three years. Special emphasis is put into providing these nurses in rural and regional areas of Australia. Each McGrath Breast Care Nurse comes at an approximate cost of $350,000.
