5. Built in Woking, England, by a company founded by an Australian born in New Zealand; this car shares his name

Answer: Mclaren P1

The McLaren P1 was a plug-in hybrid that was only manufactured for two years, between October 2013 and December 2015. There were only 375 P1's ever made, so they were quite sought-after. The power plant was a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produced 727 horsepower at 7500 rpm. The electric motor gave an extra 177 brake horsepower, making the overall power of 903 bhp.

Performance wise, the P1 according to McLaren will reach a maximum of 217 mph which is limited electronically and a 0-62 time of 2.8 seconds. McLaren also stated that the P1 would brake from186 mph to a stop in just 6.2 seconds.
6. Built by German car manufacturer utilizing the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system

7. In the UK, this car had the reputation as a 'hairdresser's car'

Answer: Audi TT

The Audi TT was produced from October 1998 to November 2023. At the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show, the car was on display as a concept car. The name Audi TT was taken from the motorcycle race at the Isle of Man known as the TT races (Tourist Trophy).

The first models were available as two-wheel drive or with the option of the Quattro (four-wheel-drive system). You also had the choice of engines with either the 180-bhp 1.8-litre inline four-cylinder 20-valve turbocharged engine or the upgraded option of the 222 bhp. In 2003, a 3.2 VR6 engine was available with 247 bhp and four-wheel drive as standard. It was also complemented by a six-speed direct-Shift gearbox.

The Audi TT has been around for a while, and while the engine sizes and power outputs have changed, the overall design has remained mostly the same. Due to low sales, Audi discontinued the range in 2023.

The reason why the TT had the reputation as a 'hairdresser's car' was all about style, or the lack of it. For a lot of petrol heads, the TT has traditionally catered to those who are merely looking to pose.
8. The world's first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminium body, first generation available from 1991 to 2005

Answer: Nsx Acura

The first generation cars were available from 1991-2005. The power plant was a 3.0 L V6 engine all made in aluminium to keep the weight down. Answer: Pagani Huayra

The 2011 Geneva Motor Show was the initial unveiling of this Italian sports car. Powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbo M158 V12 engine. The engine produced 730 bhp from the Mercedes-AMG power-plant. Titanium and carbon fibre combine to form "carbotanium", the lightweight material used to construct the Huayra's body. This made the power to weight ration excellent with performance figures of 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 235 mph.

Just one hundred Pagani Huayras, priced at a million pounds apiece, were manufactured-and that was for the base model! You would anticipate paying thousands extra if you desired upgrades.
10. Replacement for the Gallardo

Performance. Top speed: 325 km/h (202 mph) 0-97 km/h (60 mph): 2.5 seconds. The standing 1/4 mile can be reached in a very respectable time of 10.4 seconds at 217 km/h (135 mph).
