'Seinfeld' - Themed Quizzes Trivia Questions

2. How did George Costanza get his position with the Yankees?

From Quiz "Seinfeld" and the New York Yankees

Answer: He met a girl whose uncle worked for the team.

George's life seemed to be tanking because every instinct he had ever had was wrong. So he decided to do 'the opposite' and that's how he met Victoria, the young lady whose uncle worked for the Yankees. George by chance just happened to order the same exact lunch as her at Monk's and when he noticed her looking his way, approached her. She had overheard what he ordered and that's why she was staring. She introduced herself, George stated that he had no job and lived with his parents and she ended up getting him an interview with the team. The rest is Pinstripe history!

3. What was the name of the diner that Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer frequented most often during the series?

From Quiz "Seinfeld's" Food

Answer: Monk's

The inside of Monk's was a Hollywood filming set, but the exterior was that of an actual New York City diner near Columbia University called "Tom's Restaurant." Writer Larry David said he came up with the name "Monks" from a poster of the jazz pianist Thelonious Monk that was hanging in the office they were writing in at the time.

4. According to Kramer, in the first show, what job did he "almost" get?

From Quiz "Seinfeld" Jobs and Occupations

Answer: a lawyer

In "Good News, Bad News", Jerry said Kramer wasn't allowed to be in his apartment because a girl was coming to stay over a few days. She decided not to come so Kramer thought it'd be best for him to talk to her, since he was "almost" a lawyer. Kramer: "Do you want me to talk to her?" Jerry: "I don't think so." Kramer: "Oh, I can be very persuasive. Do you know that I was almost a lawyer?"

5. In "The Red Dot", what kind of sweater did George buy for Elaine?

From Quiz The Clothing of "Seinfeld"

Answer: cashmere

Elaine had gotten George a job at Pendant Publishing. To make up for her thoughtful deed, George bought her a cashmere sweater. Even though there was a red dot on the sweater, George bought it anyway because of the discount on it. Elaine didn't notice the red dot but Kramer did. Kramer: "What's that red dot on your sweater?"

6. Which Canadian province does Poppie order his ducks from?

From Quiz References to Canada in "Seinfeld"

Answer: Newfoundland

Poppie says he orders his ducks from Newfoundland and that they need to be ordered two days in advance.

7. What is the date that George's fiancee, Susan, died?

From Quiz "Seinfeld" by the Numbers

8. What was the name of the Chinese restaurant that featured in "The Chinese Restaurant"?

9. Elaine's desire for her saxophonist boyfriend to perform a "hot and heavy" act on her results in a rather bad on-stage performance.

From Quiz "Seinfeld" Which Character Did NOT Appear?

Answer: Uncle Leo

This episode, "The Rye", also featured Jerry stealing a marble rye from an old woman.

10. What best describes Jerry's background?

From Quiz Theology of "Seinfeld"

Answer: he's Jewish

Although it is mentioned in an abundance of episodes that Jerry is Jewish, it's interesting that it is not overtly clear whether Jerry actually follows Judaism. A few scenes, however, do seem to suggest it. For instance the time that Tim Whatley converts to Judaism and Jerry says "welcome aboard." Also, once George says "you don't hear that much about God anymore" and Jerry replies, "I hear things." Jerry might not be a rabbi, but it sounds like he makes it to the synagogue occasionally.

11. Elaine's boyfriend says 'I love the smell of cardboard in the morning.' This is a takeoff on a famous line from what film?

From Quiz More 'Seinfeld' Movie Spoofs

Answer: Apocalypse Now

The Robert Duvall character says 'I love the smell of napalm in the morning' as he attacks a Vietnamese village.

12. In "The Comeback", George travels temporarily to another city just to get revenge on a former co-worker who made fun of him at a Yankees' meeting. What city was it?

From Quiz "Seinfeld" Tiny Details You Might Have Left Out

Answer: Akron, Ohio

George tracks his rival all the way to his new job at Firestone, just to deliver his "jerk store" line. Of course, his plan ends up backfiring.

13. Which Yankee did George get to appear on the PBS telethon fundraiser?

From Quiz "Seinfeld" and the New York Yankees

Answer: Danny Tartabull

Danny Tartabull did appear on the episode but unfortunately neither he nor George appeared on the PBS telethon. They went on a high-speed chase because George thought the driver of another car cut them off then flipped them the bird.

14. What was the name of what would become known as the "Bizarro Diner?"

From Quiz "Seinfeld's" Food

Answer: Reggie's

There are a few episodes where one or more of the "Seinfeld" gang eat at Reggie's. During the "Bizzaro" episode Elaine's new friends ate there, George is forced to eat there a couple of times as well.

15. What was the first job of George's the audience was introduced to in the first season?

From Quiz "Seinfeld" Jobs and Occupations

16. In "The Jacket", Jerry bought a brilliant soft suede jacket. Despite its perfection, it had one flaw. What was that flaw?

From Quiz The Clothing of "Seinfeld"

Answer: pink lining and candy stripes on the inside

Jerry ended up buying a very expensive jacket for himself and he adored it. He wore it to a get-together with George, Elaine, and her father, Alton Benes. Unfortunately, it was snowing outside. Jerry didn't want to ruin the suede so he turned it inside out. Because of the inside lining (making him look unusual) Alton didn't want Jerry walking down the street wearing that with them. He ended up ruining it so he gave it to Kramer.

17. What Canadian sport does Kramer prefer to watch over the American version?

From Quiz References to Canada in "Seinfeld"

Kramer doesn't want Jerry's Superbowl tickets because Jerry says he's only interested in Canadian football.

After blowing up Elaine's submarine, Jerry makes Elaine simulate an explosion noise with her mouth.

19. Which film did Kramer's friend, Brody, force Jerry to videotape at gunpoint?

From Quiz Fictitious Films Featured on "Seinfeld"

Answer: Death Blow

"Death Blow! When someone tries to blow you up; not because of who you are, but for different reasons altogether!" Kramer tells us is the tagline for this movie. Brody is a bootlegger, illegally videotaping movies in theaters and making copies of them for sale on the street. Brody, Kramer, and Jerry are watching the movie, and after a little while, Brody has to leave to go home. (He'd eaten too much candy and was having stomach cramps). He asked Jerry to take over taping for him, and at first Jerry said not a chance, but when he saw the gun Brody was carrying, he decided to comply. Funnily enough, Jerry turned out to be quite adept at videotaping movies. Brody came over to Jerry's apartment later to tell him, "I've never seen such beautiful work. You're a genius. The zoom-ins, the framing. I was enchanted."

From Quiz "Seinfeld" Tiny Details You Might Have Left Out

Answer: Poland

"When I was a little girl in Poland, we all had ponies. My sister had a pony, my cousin had a pony. So, what's wrong with that?"

25. George was asked by Mr. Wilhelm to entertain some executives from another major league team to discuss inter-league play. Which team was it?

26. In "The Bubble Boy", what did the Bubble Boy wear to protect himself?

From Quiz The Clothing of "Seinfeld"
